Though it's become yesterday's news over in Europe, Bravely Second: End Layer is about two weeks away from release in North America. Though there has been some controversy surrounding localisation of the title for the west, the upcoming JRPG from Square-Enix is an excellent game – as our review reflected – and seems to be an essential buy for fans of the genre.
Naturally, Nintendo wants to build some hype for the game's release in the region, and so it's put together a brief video showcasing what the game's all about. It covers everything from main selling points like the battle system to smaller details like the dual audio, though those of you that are still on the fence can just download the lengthy demo available on the eShop to see what it's all about. Check it out below:
What do you think? Will you be picking this up when it releases? Europeans, what did you think of it? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Seems cool, and I really like the first one, but I'll buy it used because of censorship regardless.
Also, I hope there's a way for Tiz to get a haircut, he looks like a homeless person.
They censored the crap out of it, i dont want to even bother
The first game had horrible pacing at the end that nearly killed my interest in the game, and I heard the second pulls the same crap, so i'll probably just get it used.
I'd get it because the first one was fantastic but I'm so burned out on RPGs I'd rather wait. Default also gave me plenty of play time so I'm also burned out on Bravely as a whole for a good while, I don't even wanna bother just yet.
Ignore the censorship issue it's a brilliant game I'm over 60 hours played so far and it's one of the best RPGs I've played if you refuse to buy it because of censorship your missing out on great game
@argh4430 bravely second does not pull the same crap the side quests are your choice if you want to do them again or not to get the asterisks you missed, you are giving a choice when you do the side quests of fighting one of two asterisk holders after a certain point in the game you can go back and get the ones you missed, I look on the changes to game in a positive way they listened to the feedback of the Japanese gamers and changed the side quests for the better imagine if they did that with the first game it would have been so much better
@argh4430 um only if you wanted the extra's, no one forced you to revisit all the asterisks users again.
@Sanqet agreed i couldn't stop playing the game myself but it can loop indefinitely, should i put a hint for them people to not get the loop? sorta spoilers, but you could wind up replaying the game many times if your not catching on to the hints.
@kenrulei I know I almost missed the hints I would want to know if it was me that was stuck
okay guys, when you think the game is looping... "Bravely Second" you will thank me lol
@kenrulei
Hmm, now you've got me intrigued.
I think the game looks fantastic- the demo was great and extremely generous as well. Not only is SE one of my fave RPG developers but they've earned my dollar by really getting back to basics and making great games. Bravely Second, Star Ocean V, Final Fantasy XV- it's gonna be a great year for SE RPG's. Also, Rise of the Tomb Raider was excellent.
And Nintendo is also bringing a couple great RPG's this year, what with the Fire Emblem Fates trilogy, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and Xenoblade X (well, technically XCX was just barely into last year, but close enough)
@JaxonH don't forget about about Dragon Quest 7 and 8.
Am I the only one who is actually more interested in Nintendo of America's new YouTube thumbnail template?
@kenrulei
Oh right! Those too!
And while it's not SE or Ninty, Monster Hunter Generations and Dark Souls 3 really seals the deal for 2016 as the ultimate Year of the RPG
@JaxonH final fantasy 15 also ^_^
@kenrulei
Listed that in my initial reply actually ^^^
@JaxonH so you did XD. i'm hyped for the rpgs... and scared that's a lot of time lol
@kenrulei
I'm STILL playing Fire Emblem Fates. I finished Xenoblade Chronicles X with 500 hours in, something like that? Of course I left the system on overnight many times to collect Miranium.
Then I played through Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright. Really, really good game there. Now I'm on last 7 chapters of Conquest, and oh man, the difficulty is ramping up big time. The maps are INCREDIBLE though. Never, in all the series have I played such amazing maps. Even the DLC maps are better than most past entries lol. By the time I beat Revelation, the games will be out in Europe.
I also played both Final Fantasy XV demos, so FFXV can't come soon enough. Or Star Ocean V- debating on getting the collectors edition actually. What's great is Tokyo Mirage Sessions releases just 4 days before Star Ocean- yikes!
Also played the Bravely Second demo. So I'm definitely ready for that game. And as a Monster Hunter fanatic, Generations is going to be amazing!
@JaxonH i'm waiting on fire emblem fates it's not out here yet, yeah another 3 to play XD. and yeah i can't wait for generations myself, watching capcom eur livestreams has been getting me more hyped for it.
I am picking it up. I just started Revelations though. I am so busy now. Testing, lessons, gym, and life has made my gaming shrink to "Minishing Cap" proportions. I know I will get it. I did get bored at the end of the first Bravery Default. I just hope it doesn't happened to me this time.
I enjoyed the original one all the way through so this one is definitely on my radar. The only question is when I will end up getting it!
Disgusting censorship. Was actually psyched for this one and Fire Emblem Fates. Not going to buy games that are altered for some pathetic self entitled group. Thought videogames where protected under the art law but I guess we just give in to bullies now. The videogame culture is dying.
People are still complaining about censorship?
You're a bunch of children. So do you understand why everything gets censored now?
I will absolutely get this one.
Got the Collectors Edition pre-ordered from Amazon. Can't wait.
I haven't even played through Bravely Default yet, so how much I enjoy it will decide whether or not I pick up Bravely Second.
