Video game veteran Taito is producing a series of stretchy, goo-filled Splatoon squid toys. Now there's a sentence we didn't think we'd be typing when we woke up this morning.
Due for release in Japan (where else?) on April 5th, the toys can be seen in action in the teaser video below. You can squeeze 'em, splat 'em and throw 'em in a drawer when they inevitably get covered in hair, fluff and dirt after a day or two.
Expect importers to start listing these soon - and let us know if you're going to make a purchase by posting a comment below.

I was in Japan last week for a few days. There were lots and lots of Splatoon. I'm in Macau now and it's like it never existed here. 😑 Nintendo is completely ignored here and China 😞

@whodatninja I think they did a really good job of representing their 2D images, even without the tentacles. And this seems to be their standard look, it's everywhere.

Personally I prefer the orange, but the green and purple do offset each other nicely.
