Super Mario Maker has a dizzying range of Mystery Mushroom characters - some are unique as part of the game and others can be accessed quickly by scanning compatible amiibo. Well, the Wolf Link amiibo that caused quite a ruckus for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will have another use when it arrives in early March.

Nintendo Force magazine scanned the figure in Super Mario Maker to see if it'd work and, sure enough, a cute little Wolf Link sprite was unlocked. The fact the text is in Japanese suggests that the data isn't quite ready, with a software update by early March likely in order to add language support for the unlockable. As the code was left in the game, ultimately, the genie is out of the bottle.

It looks like a rather cool outfit to us - will you be creating some Zelda-themed levels with the Wolf Link character?
