As was always going to be the case, the final Super Smash Bros. character of this generation, as chosen from the Fighter Ballot, caused plenty of debate. The fact it was PlatinumGames' Bayonetta gave even more spice to conversations around the DLC arrival.
Of course, some may be encountering the character for the first time through Smash Bros., with Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 only hitting Wii U on 2014, with sales that are unlikely to have been hugely substantial. For those picking up the DLC her moves may feel peculiar, then, and even long-term fans of the deadly witch have no doubt been comparing her Smash Bros. moves to her real moves.
This video from The Game Theorists and its Smash History series is an interesting watch, regardless of where you fall in previous experience with Bayonetta. It compares moves from Smash with her original games, so check it out below.

@Phil_Kavadias yes but this is done by someone thats not nintendo and probably goes into a bit more detail.
@Phil_Kavadias This went into much greater detail
Yeah, I'm still having a little trouble mastering her in Smash Bros.
This reminds me... I should probably start playing Bayonetta 2. I've had that game in my backlog since the day it came out.
She's really fun to use in Smash, and is quickly becoming one of my most-used characters (though no character will ever come close to replacing my precious Olimar).
The Game Theorists? Talk about a slow news day!
Seriously, their insistence on Mario being nuts made me despise their entire show. But oh well, at least this one seems harmless enough.
Can't wait for monday's news barrage. Maybe Brawl as a downloadable title on the WiiU eShop? Pretty please, Nintendo?
Anyone here think that both Bayonetta and Corrin are O.P.? I was with my doubles partner and I thought both characters were pretty cool. After playing against a Cor and Bay both seemed a bit O.P. mainly Corrin with his counter attack. He has the ability to use that move quite faster than my Little Mac and other characters that have that ability. Its fun playing against the characters, its gives both of us a challenge to figure out but what do you guys think of them being O.P.? Is it just me or?
Also how and where do you find local tournaments? I'm trying to find some for my area here in Texas
At least it's not MatPat's stupid face telling us that Bayonetta is insane or secretly the creator of the universe or something.
@AlexSora89 You do realize that the game theorists are multiple people with their own shows right? Also you despise them because of a theory? Why, its just a theory, a pretty well thought out one at that. But whatever be lame
more bayonetta is always good bayonetta.
All here moves are based off her original moves, Dair, Fair, Holding Uair. What a click bait youtube video. It's better for players to see and experience her original moveset by playing her games.
@Zombo
Yep, I was being a bit generic there. But that one theory's creator, Matpat, loves to bring it up just to make people mad. And I'm not fond of creators deliberately messing with their audience.
@AlexSora89 Really? Didn't know that, its more understandable why you don't like him then.
@Zombo
Yep, MatPat loves bringing it up. Just check out any Mario-related theory that deals with anything set in the Marioverse that's not Mario. You'll hear MatPat calling Mario a psychopath in the first thirty seconds of the video whether the video deals with Mario himself or not.
