d'Alfonsino sounds like delfino.

Come to think of it an Isle Delfino map would be amazing.

Not surprising at all which is good that the only leaks are obvious ones.

A new map is cool, but I doubt this alone would be worthy to be a news to point out in the direct. But new maps, weapons and more? That would be worthy to talk about, maybe this map is the hint a big update announcement is coming!

Whoops! I did a literal double-take when I checked SplatNet a few minutes ago and saw this.

This map on closer inspection looks like it's one of the most intricate maps yet. Still haven't played on the bridge map yet.

@Tsurii I think it could be a coincidence. The Spaltoon people seem tow ork on their own timeline, new weapons every week. The gave us a new weapon early this week for the new map today. It could all just be a coincide that it's after the ND, the Spaltoon people might not have even been told there was an ND until Tuesday like the rest of us.

Or it could be in the ND. 3 more hours.

I'm always excited for new Splatoon content, especially since any update could be their last one. The "half-year" suport is basically over by now, so it's nice to still see more stuff coming!

So nintendo is going to spoiler their announcements prior to the direct? Again?

@rjejr This map isn't in the game's current version, so yeah there's an actual software update coming.

A new map? Awesome! Hope they keep the fire burning, both now and weeks later. Checking out this map is gonna be the first time I've played Splatoon in over a month.

Haven't they had updates outside of ND's though? There hasn't been one since E3.

I'm hyped about my Nintendo Direct Bingo Card. I made one for my friend and he said just Splatoon in general so he's getting that. I was a lot riskier and I put Octolings specifically, I'm hoping I'm right because the rest of the column is pretty likely

@Blastcorp64 The past few days every time it's Splat Zones then Saltspray is one of the maps. It's very annoying because that map is awful for Splat Zones. So not only is it appearing often but it's also only appearing often for one ranked mode. It's frustrating me, too!

Love the new weapons and variations each week, but a new map would be most welcome! STILL playing this every single day

Yay, more maps. I've just stopped playing Splatoon as I'm spending way too much time playing it (over 100 hours now!) but now I'm going to have to go back for more.
