The latest season of the Pokémon anime series has been announced in Japan. In Pokémon XY & Z new forms for both Zygarde and Ash's Greninja have been revealed.
According to the the official Pokémon website, Zygarde forms consist of Cells and Cores. While the Core functions as Zygarde's brain, Cells appear to make up its physical properties.
"Cells do not possess any will or thought processes," so sayeth the Pokémon website. "They're found scattered throughout the region. Since they can't use any moves, researchers question whether they can even be called Pokemon!"
When the ecosystem is threatened, they are known to gather to make new forms. As of now, there are three Formes of Zygarde, one at 10%, one at 50%, and one called the Complete Forme. In its final form, Zygarde's power is said to be "greater than that of the Legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal." Wowzer!
It has not been confirmed that a new game in the Pokémon series is in the works, but we can assume it will only be a matter of time. Pokémon XY & Z debuts on the 29th October in Japan. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for this new Pokémon series to air in Europe and North America.

How can they deny a Pokemon Z game now?! xD
As much as I like the new forms for Zygarde, there's no admitting that the Pokemon anime has gone stale and unimaginative. The last time when the Pokemon anime was good was probably Diamond and pearl. Black & White ruined the series though.
Main-line Pokémon has been an annual release event since 2009, either in new game, rerelease, or remake form.
If they want to continue the streak, they need Z on the shelves soon!
@Pod Or, you know, not release anything too soon, just announce it and take enough time to actually polish it. Most franchises with yearly releases could use such break.
@NightmareEater Ok yes Black and White ruined the series, but XY is still good IMO, it brought back the good version of Team Rocket, instead of the crappy CIA Agent Team Rocket in BW

I'm with you. I know I didn't lather on the ironic tone, but I don't think annualizing franchises is a good thing either.
If they have decided to settle on Pokemon Z afterall, I hope it's announced/released sometime this year. I have no choice but to buy a new Pokemon game since both my Pokemon AS and X (with all my pokemon past, present, shiny, event, egg-moved and anything else you can think of) has suddenly decided to go missing together in that pokeball cartridge-holder somewhere. I was considering repurchasing either X or AS to start my collection from scratch again but the decision of which to get has been... irritating at best. If they end up going the B2W2 route with Z, then it'll justify the purchase for me as as it wouldn't feel as much like I'm simply replaying what I lost.
Is this what happens when he absorbs androids 17 and 18?
I am probably the only person on here that has watched all 86 episodes so far, and I've actually enjoyed the XY arc a lot. The only arc I've liked more is the original series. However, considering how I plan on watching every XY episode and have been successful so far, along with the fact that my birthday is October 28th, this new season makes for a nice gift to me. I can't wait for it!
@Pod That's not true. There was no game in 2011. Due to the fact that localisation times got cut from ~6 months to nothing, we should always use the original date.
Every generation has a year off.
Yup, it's pretty much in the bag for a Pokemon Z announcement now....here's hoping for a surprise announcement that it's for Wii-U! How cool would that be!?

Why does the Japanese Pokemon youtube channel upload so much of their stuff in 360p.
Also, is that Ash singing in background music of the trailer (his Japanese voice actor of course)?
Instead of making all these new forms of Pokemon, I wish we could have a new game in the series like HG and SS, where we could explore 2 regions. Or maybe being able to travel to different planets and/or solar systems...
@DarkKirby I only just realised that. I prefer to watch a lot of videos on at least 720p, because it looks beautiful then. For me 360p or below is somewhat blurry or not great to look at.

Ok, That Greninja HAS to be a Mega. Maybe it will be like the Spiky Pichu. But that Greninja belongs to Ash. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS
@TheAceofMystery You mean back to when Team Rocket is incompetant in most things they try? I thought it was a nice change of pace for them to be a little better at their jobs and not appearig in every episode to avoid oversaturation of their antics. I do agree that it's nice to see them back in white and with Wobbuffet again, though.
Yep, it's nice to see Team Flare. I was disappointed when they didn't show up at the Power Plant or the Pokéball Factory like they did in the games. I wish they would've been an arc long threat like Teams Aqua, Magma, Galactic, and even Hunter J rather than shoehorned into the show near the end of the arc like Team Plasma. Then again, I was also disappointed when Rayquaza never showed up during Aqua's and Magma's big blowout.
Oh well, it's an adaptation after all, and the Pokémon animé still does a pretty good job at it, at least once they started enforcing the four move limit and not making as many mistakes with Pokémon movesets or type advantages and immunities (although the latter issue will still crop up on rare occasions).
Recently, I've been wondering what it would be like if there were a Pokémon game based on the anime... Perhaps even like a side-series to the main handheld games where you actually play as Ash... Hmm...
Additionally, are we EVER going to get official releases for Hoopa and Volcanion???
Ah, Zygarde... Cells... Zygote! I guess there's some sense in there, not that it matters in my opinion, it's an insane series anyway (in a good way!).

What if the little cells and core is scatter in aloha region and when the player get close to the end of the game the player heads to the Island with the strange tree where you optaian the main story legends after you go to the island you go to the tree and your small. Core absorbs power from the tree after that the completes form pops out Just a specaulation and a theory
