It's the day of the Nintendo Digital Event, in which Nintendo will stake its case to gamers and fans with games and reveals for this year and - probably - beyond. Yet of course the company has already been busy hosting the Nintendo World Championships at the weekend.
We've already argued that we think Super Mario Maker stole the show, but there were other strong moments too. Aware of the fact some will still be struggling to get through the 4 hour+ video of the event, Nintendo of America has finally produced some official highlights reels for us to enjoy.

Haha the Mario vid is amazing!
The Mario Maker part is definitely the highlight for me, both players were really good too so it helps showcase Mario Maker. John Numbers have the upper hand though and he really deserved to win. Awesome show, Nintendo should do this every year.

I watched the Mario Maker portion of the NWC yesterday and it definitely qualified as a show steal-er for me. I was gasping and ahh-ing just through the tablet screen, I would have literally been at the edge of my seat had I'd been there live. Helped that the levels were designed as well as they were brutal.
It's been a pretty high spirit E3 so far for me so I hope Nintendo (and Squeenix) can keep the good feels rolling.
