The Nintendo World Championships are no longer the exciting début of E3 week, but will now follow a Super Smash Bros. Special Video Presentation that'll be hosted by Masahiro Sakurai. Nevertheless the live event from LA could be intriguing, with its format still to be revealed.
Nintendo of America did promise a pre-tournament broadcast, in any case, and has now confirmed that this will come in the form of a short Treehouse segment just before the Championships get under way. This will come at 2:35pm Pacific / 5:35pm Easter / 10:35pm UK / 11:35pm CET, providing 25 minutes of build up.
We'll be covering this live, of course, and it'll be interesting to see how this event goes down with the online Nintendo public.
Will you be watching?
