It's that time again, as we celebrate Christmas Day and a Holiday season that provides ample opportunity to spend time with family and friends, or connect with and embrace friendly souls on the internet. However you're spending the day, everyone at Nintendo Life wishes you a fantastic day.

It's been quite a year for Nintendo, in which it's dealt with some lows but also rebounded with giddy highs - highlights included the sudden reveal of the New Nintendo 3DS, the buzz of fantastic new games and the big N's awesome E3 showing. While it's easy to get bogged down in sales and business - as will inevitably happen again - today we're keen to emphasize that Nintendo's kept games and fun as its priorities. Gamers are the biggest winners as a result.

These happy returns are from the whole Nintendo Life team, from Directors, to myself, all the writers and our fearless moderators. I also want to break into first person and thank the whole team for their ongoing commitment to bringing you many, many words, managing the forums and generally sharing their love of Nintendo.

The biggest thanks is to you, our readers, who've grown in number yet again in this year and continue to make us smile, while also challenging us and keeping the whole team on its toes. 2014 brought some feisty moments and content that delivered charged debate, but having those discussions with all of you is what makes this site so alive. Our recent reader survey was also hugely enlightening, so thanks to all that filled it in, shared kind words and gave invaluable feedback; we seek continual improvement, and you help us towards that goal.

I feel we can be truly proud of everyone that logs into Nintendo Life and contributes with articles, comments, forum posts or simply browses and reads the content we provide. I know I speak for everyone when I say we're truly grateful to all of you.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
