Bayonetta 2's gorgeous First Print Edition is pretty special, but don't just take our word for it — cast your eyes over the unboxing video below to see the proof for yourself!
This chunky pack — exclusive to Europe — contains not only the Wii U exclusive sequel, but its critically acclaimed forerunner as well — which is available on a Nintendo system for the first time.
Watch the footage and let us know if this has influenced your decision to pick up a copy. Also, please, please, please don't forget to subscribe to Nintendo Life on YouTube, and while you're there click the subscribe button on Squid Gaming, too.

I'll tell you what it contains!
JEALOUSY!!!!
^^^---well said. Our NTSC day-1 fails in comparison. And nice vid, Lydia.
Was it Europe-exclusive? I didn't even know! I have it, and I must say, it's awesome.
yes, PAL exclusive. PAL land had a few options. Japan got the separate boxed copies of B2 and B1 in one cardboard box. US just got the single box with both discs. But B1 is so flipping good I'm really not upset.
Gonna admit... I basically only watched the video for Lydia....
Im from europe, but i didnt buy this, so yeah, also ofc its a girl xD seriously guys from nintendolife, i want to see your pretty faces instead lol :3
@BLPs Errm, only one person said anything of the sort and he wasn't exactly disrespectful...
NOA, you got us the demo but not this.
So you are still a witch.
Having just finished both games, I must admit I am impressed and wish we had this version available in North America. It would be neat.
I'm not really that impressed with it, I have it on my local GameStop but decided to go digital instead. If only I have a buyer of the physical discs, I would have gotten it just for the cool "book ".
I have both the 1st edition and the guide, but at the mo haven't touched B2 or the book as I'm playing through B1. The question is do I move to the sequel once I've finished the story mode, or do I explore the locked stuff until December?
And yes, I know I've made the games sound like the Bananas in Pyjamas.
@BLPs As AJWolfTill said: Only a single person said anything about watching the video for Lydia. And he didn't even say it was because of her looks or anything. He just said, he watched the video, because of her. Why can't his reason be that he likes her personality, her video style, her wit, her knowledge or whatever. The only person derailing these comments into "horny teenager county" is you.
I've got one of these, and unless you're a HUGE Bayonetta fan, the First Print Edition absolutely isn't worth the hassle. The fancy packaging looks nice, and the games are great, but that's about it. The cuts arent clean, the foam rubber for the inside was also sloppily cut, and the "artbook" was a joke - 19 pages for 10 enemies, illustrated and rendered, but not a single bit of characters, environments, or weapons.
And now that the remaining boxes go well beyond the original launch price, you're better off just getting the normal 2-disc version.
If i buy this version does this girl come with it too ?
SUCH ENVY OVER HERE!!! Still I'm just glad we got the game at all.
I'm still trying to find a scan of the first game's full wiiu box art so i can print it. Sigh.
Lydia is just too much cute.
I unlocked chain chomp right now while waiting for the direct lol its fun.
Sadly I've only clocked in one hour since launch. doctors appointments/work suck
"Watch the footage and let us know if this has influenced your decision to pick up a copy"
Uhh, can you even buy this still? lol Anyway. I settled for the special edition from Amazon...
But by all means keep these Lydia vids coming!
This edition looks great, but just like the steel cases of Pokémon ORAS, we weren't lucky enough to get them :/ And may I say NLife should hire Lydia for all their videos (or at least most of them)? I was watching the Nomad video and I felt it'd be cooler if someone was speaking instead of just showing the console itself. Also I think she fits the role
My local game shop sold out the 1st print edition ten minutes before I walked into the store, so I had to settle for the regular 2-games-in-1 edition. I must say, it doesn't look like I'm missing much - a cardboard box and a pamphlet with some art drawings (calling that a "book" would be very generous!!).
Lydia looks very unimpressed in that top picture i must say!
I would have liked to have this, but us 'Muricans only got the game...
@bluedogrulez You sure North America got no separate cases 'cause I would prefer that over what I had already purchased.
Can someone telll me why THE hell didn't this limited edition come out in NA?
@Porky: Not this round. 2-in-1 case. I suspect we might see separate releases down the road.
Still got my copy sealed too many games to play not enough time
@97alexk Be careful what you wish for...
I bought this FPE edition on release.
2 seperate retail covers was important to me, but also because i waited 5 years for it.
Only 15.300 copies is made, so its a collectors item,
I'm so jealous ! I really wish they had released this in North America.
Damn I just missed the (pre-order) first edition by just a few minutes. I got the 2 disc/box normal edition. I'm up to 64 WiiU hardcopy games. A few shy of the whole collection
The first print edition will be mine.... Ow yes, it will be mine!
