With retro-styled 2D action title Azure Striker Gunvolt now available on the 3DS eShop in North America, and a European release date bound to pop-up at some point in the near future, Australians have been left wondering where they fit in.
Normally, Aussie releases fall under European PAL territory – and that’s probably the same case here with this exclusive eShop title – but just to reassure those living within Australia, Inti Creates has been nice enough to reply to an email from an eager Aussie about the chances of a local release:
As expected, Azure Striker Gunvolt is indeed on its way to the Australian 3DS eShop at some point in the near future; Inti Creates no doubt has to sort out the finer points of the release with Nintendo Australia first.
If you’re an Aussie, does this confirmation excite – or even ease any concerns you may have had about this title making it across to Australian shores? Can you perhaps think of other situations where certain games released in Europe and the US haven’t always made it down under?
And for those in Europe, are you still pumped for this upcoming title from the Mighty No.9 developer, with the assistance of Keiji Inafune, despite the lack of an official release date? Let us know in the comments.

In Brazil too =/ Latin Nintendo sucks so bad.
Yay! I hope it's soon, I've been dying to play this game

Three words: Shan. Tae. Two.
Azure Striker Gunvolt has become my last hope for a good and stylish action-platformer from IntiCreates ever since Megaman ZX - Mighty No. 9 lost me with the terrible design.
@Kaze_Memaryu AND its terrible marketing campaign AND its terrible PR at the moment. Seriously, im probably the biggest MegaMan fan alive, and if THIS game can lose my interest, there is something terribly wrong with it.
Still, i hope that Gunvolt, als well as Mighty Gunvolt will make it to europe...someday...accompanied by SMT4....someday...sigh
Hope you Aussies have a high tolerance for low framerates. I found it impossible to enjoy the game due to the choppy animation and camera scrolling.
I, for one, was extremely excited for this game until I discovered they flat out removed story-related dialogue that was shown on the top screen during gameplay, and the Japanese voice acting. Now I'm just heavily disappointed by the sloppy localization work they did just to get the game out early. I'm conflicted about buying this game since if I do, as it is at the launch, it would mean that I'm saying the content cutting is OK, and I'm definitely not OK with it.
I'm hugely disappointed because this was one of those great-looking games that seemed to capture the spirit of Mega Man Zero games, my favorite Mega Man game series, and seeing it get neutered like that made me extremely sad. I thought the stupid character design alteration was enough, but not apparently. Just because one focus group told them they didn't want to have story text during the gameplay, it doesn't mean we all want it gone. Even the Japanese version had the option to toggle it on or off, so why not have the same option in the western version? And removing the voice acting, because western players don't understand Japanese? Seriously?
So utterly disappointed. I wanted to give this game my full support, but not like this. I have sent a couple of e-mails to Inti Creates about these matters and naturally, didn't get any replies.
Scandinavia here which falls under EU dates most of the time. Still waiting for this, excited for AUS date, should mean we get it here soon aswell.
@Arngrim It was already announced to come this winter.^^

I hope along with this game also Mighty Gunvolt comes to Europe. Would be nice if Inafune's team would give also European Kickstarter supporters the code for Mighty Gunvolt like they did for the Americans.
Thankyou Nintendolife for posting on Australian news and release dates it's great to have region specific information and support. I'm surprised that there is so much support from this site as Australia is usually left out. Even kotaku aus has less region specific news. The Nintendolife team put in alot of great work and deserve some praise every now and again.
@scamander oooh! Thanks! mustve missed that tweet. cheers.
EU?! Argh!
