Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS has been available for a decent spell now in Japan, with players unlocking its many secrets and discovering some quirks. A particular bug that's been shown off recently is pretty eye-catching; it's impossible to miss, actually.
When playing the Multi-Man Smash mode as Yoshi, you thrash some weak Mii characters before taking on a bigger enemy; if you continually swallow this enemy and lay them as an egg they dramatically increase in size. If you can string together enough of these moves before it all goes wrong, the opponent can truly become comically big.
You can see this in action in the videos below.
It's a funny error — assuming it isn't some kind of deliberate joke — and time will only tell whether it gets resolved in the future. We rather like it, if perhaps for all the wrong reasons.

This is awesome! I can not wait to see the faces of everyone when I do this on Friday!
"It is Yoshizilla! We must leave the city!"
We can now see giants duking it out in Doubles! 11/10 will keep in Sm4sh 3DS
After reading this I suddenly feel nostalgic for a time where bugs in games couldn't be patched out. Weirdness indeed.

Not for Nintendo's Debug team, it wasn't.
Surely that must have been put in there deliberately?
@Prof_Clayton
The game was kinda rushed. I doubt they had a debug team or even had time for that matter to look into all the nooks and crannies a move is capable of.
Doesn't seem like a bug, more like fun.
Hahaha awesome!
@Prof_Clayton Who uses debug teams when you can just use the player base and patch it later?
@SkywardLink98 I'm pretty sure there was an article a few weeks back with Sakurai talking about how much testing goes into these games pre release so there is little to none bugs. Then lots of commenters on here praising Nintendo about being the only company that do that unlike the others who just patch it after release.
Does this mean Ridley is confirmed for the next Smash?
I've got to try this on Friday!
Well, you know what they say. Every program is either insignificant or contains at least one bug.
There's actually a similar glitch in Brawl, but it only affects Jigglypuff, and only if you first trigger the better-known "Giga Jigglypuff" glitch. Most people know that Jigglypuff (and many other characters) can get knocked out of a Final Smash by certain stage hazards, but what's less well-known is that if Yoshi swallows Jigglypuff after that glitch occurs, Jigglypuff will get even bigger, in the same manner as that shown in this video.
Thats hilarious get ready for a patch my friends.
Neat! I just tried it myself! It starts getting really hard to swallow the other Yoshi after about the 4th time.
@MetalK9 every game has a de-bug team, especially a game as big as smash. Kid Icarus uprising was released in early 2012, they would've started development on smash before that so a development cycle of about 2 and a half years is not a rushed game
I think its awesome to see huge greninja!!!!!!!
