Spike Chunsoft Wants To Release 3DS Title Attack On Titan In North America

I really want to play this but doubt it will ever get a UK release.

...Could we at least get the anime over here in the uk first?

The anime is being released by Funimation and the manga has a huge popularity. So it does make sense to bring the game as well. I'd love to see NIS America localizing this.

@Marshi Isn't it licensed in the UK already? AFAIK Manga UK has the license.

wow i didnt know they already had a game in japan. the anime looks so awesome. it starts here tomorrow in NA. i've been looking foreward to it for weeks. i would buy this game day 1. i really hope we get it. and soon.

This manga, and anything associated with are hugely popular here in japan, almost to a surprising level. For anyone thinking this and the anime wont come to their region, rest assured, they realize its popularity and will put it out in other regions. I dont even read manga or watch anime and shingeki stuff is everywhere. Its impossible to live in japan and not know about it.

Recently noticed the show was on Netflix. Will have to stream a few episodes and see what all the fuss is about.

Well Atlus did it for them on Conception II so that seems to be the best choice! If Atlus touches it, it might as well be gold in my book because I get anything Nintendo related from them!

I'm also going to go out on a limb and say those titans will get more clothing for a western release! Kinda scary if you ask me but that game does look good. Looks like it will also look great in 3d!

Wow, how funny, I literally just started watching this anime last night. If this does come to NA I'll pick it up for sure (Assuming the game is good.)

@Spoony_Tech I love Atlus, but they don't include the original Japanese audio on their localizations. That's why I'd go with NIS America for this game (they recently released Danganronpa for the Vita, which is also a Spike Chunsoft game).

Is there more to the gameplay than Wash. Rinse. Repeat.? He killed 5 titans in a row w/ the exact same 3 moves.

Saw the 1st episode free somewhere and it looked interesting, but it doesnt translate to game form well.

Still, bring it over, Vita is getting Freedom Wars, piggyback on all their advertising, it's a very similar concept.

I hope they bring this game over without changing to much!!!

I don't know how to explain this feeling but this game may not be good at all because all you can do is riding your horse around and slash any giant you see and then repeat. I won't feel like buying it if there's nothing more.

I'll pass. The repetition of the manga and animé version are clearly included in the game. Shingeki no Kyoujin only survives on bloated hype, anyway, so I'm looking forward to see everything about it return to obscurity by the end of the year.

I'd take it! I've been hoping for a localized version for us here in North America.

Unfortunately or anyone else, I don't think it'd get localized say, in Europe or Australia or anywhere else for that matter (because it's stuff from Japan, and stuff from Japan usually gets that exclusive treatment.)

Either way, if it came here to North America, I would buy it some time after it's release. The game looks decent, but I wouldn't pay 40 dollars for it.

Seems like good timing. I just recently saw a coming soon commercial for it on Toonami. Not sure if it's tommaro or not, but with the show premeiring soon its a good time for a game.

God I loved the anime and manga so much! This game looks so good EXCEPT for the combat. Which looks like it'd be soooo boring after 1 or 2 titans, I could be wrong(and I hope I am!). So if the combat turns out to be better than my low expectations I will most likely pick this up. heres hoping!

That's what I was thinking too. Very repetitive, and I didn't see where the challenge came into play. Not one of those titans leveled an attack on the player. It's a novel concept, but I'm not sure if I'm sold as of right now. Perhaps some different footage could sway me, but if it's all like that then I can definitively say I'm just not interested.

the Idea that Mounts are In the game tells me that the battle area must be pretty big. This really intrigues me. I'm not real enthused though about the battle system and overall look of the Giants. I will most likely pick it up. I wish someone would take that worldmap/battlefield and make a Xenoblade type RPG for 3ds.

I'm a big Attack on Titan fan so I hope it gets released in the UK!

Well I'd be interested to give this game a try. I really like AoT. Here is hoping for a release and demo ^^ Worth mentioning anyone who enjoyed AoT should check out Knights of Sidonia since it features a very similar setting just in more syfy'ed framework.

I really want to buy and play this .. But dont belive they will bring it to europe, and as always US gets the goodies and we have to wait say 1 more year IF it even makes it to the EU. Its a disaster that the 3ds is region locked.

I'd definitely purchase this game if were localized to the US. When I first saw the game, I had no idea what it was about. The game -I never played- is what actually got me to watch the anime.

@FishieFish Someone from kotaku did kind of a review for the japanese version. They seemed to enjoy it, but felt it was pretty glitchy. You might want to check it out.

I love the anime ! I would definitely be interested in playing the game. I wish they would make one for WiiU but since that isn't likely I will certainly take the 3DS version.

i just realized the other night it was on netflix and got all exited and watched 8 or 9 episodes in a row! it is an awesome anime and i loved every second of it. if this game doesnt come to NA i'm going to be very dissapointed. region lock is going to make me buy a vita, or drive me insane, i cant buy a japanese 3ds. that would be rediculous, but awesome too. why do u torture us nintendo?

@3dcaleb Not Nintendo's fault - Spike Chunsoft is an Indie developer right? An they are trying to bring the game to the West - however, it is really really important that awareness of the franchise ie. the Anime is as large as possible and as it isn't advertised really anywhere - it is gradually gaining ground via word of mouth. Did you see the dubbed or subtitled version?

I don't even care if it's repetitive. As long as it functions as a game, let it be crappy or something... ITS AOT IDC ABOUT IT RIPPING OFF SOME CONTROLS OF THAT AWKWARD DANCE GAME BACK THEN... Also... As long as I have something to brag about in school. Hell, people call themselves fans in my school and they aren't even up to Levi. So Chunsoft, you better make it a game in America. @cfgk24 I guess they just need to see all the "fans" in my school to set it off into the West. Yeah, that won't help. I guess they really just need to notice the spread of AOT. It's a great series. I love it. Heck, this was the first anime I watched. This will always be in my heart. Oh... How Eren just messes up those puny lil titan friends of his... Oh. Read the Manga too. it was good.

Putting that aside, I really hope it's physically possible for the AOT team to catch up on the anime without hurting themselves. The manga's too far... In the distance whereas the anime is like cavemen. Did they explain why they pretty much stopped (prob wrong on this) producing the anime series? It was the worst cliffhanger in existence.

@FishieFish nice even if i don't understand japanese ,plus the menu's but i'm learning to know what is what in my item bag ,cause when your out of gas its over ..,otherwise its repetitive but when your a fan of the anime you will love to slay titans your self ^^

@Metafalica thats why i import every anime game from japan ....even if the games ar in japanese you still have the pleasure to play it !! but don't buy a strategie game ...like gundam giren no yabou ....cause its to complicated .... and really i am dying to play the game in english but its never gonna happen
