In the lead up to Child of Light’s release on the Wii U eShop later this month, Ubisoft has been releasing a steady stream of trailers to show off its artistic action-RPG. Recent clips have displayed the game’s co-op mode, as well as the title’s partnerships for music and theatrical design.
The latest clip, which can be seen below, follows the Child of Light’s lead character, Aurora, through a side scrolling view featuring some of the stunning landscapes on offer within the fairytale world of Lemuria.
Fortunately, there’s not too much longer to wait as Child of Light will be hitting the eShop on April 30th in North America and May 1st in Europe, for $14.99/£11.99.
Are you looking forward to entering the world of Lemuria, or will you be waiting for reviews before deciding whether or not to pick up Ubisoft’s latest offering? As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

This game is gorgeous. I'm loving the FFVI influence.
This game release on my birthday so yeah happy birthday to me!!
This game looks absolutely stunning, ubisoft are becoming one of my favourite devlopers. I just hope the rumours of watchdogs being delayed on wii u till winter is not true
Forget titanfall this game looks totally stunning
Looks beautiful, hope the gameplay is up to scratch.
Looks amazingly beautiful hope the gameplay is great !
I'm so pumped for this game. Just hoping it's gameplay is as stunning as it's visuals.
I'm probably going to look to reviews before getting this, but if the reviews are positive and my few fears are put to rest, I will most definitely buy this.
Preeeetty.
@PinkSpider I hope the rumors aren't true either. However, on the North American Uplay Store, it lists Watch Dogs Wii U for Fall 2014 (although it's not definitive, because apparently the Australian Uplay store lists the Wii U version for May 27, which we know is not true).
Regarding this game, it looks amazing, and hope it's gameplay is as good as it looks. As others have said before, I'll check it out if reviews are good. Nevertheless, it's great to see Ubisoft doing projects like these.
Can't wait! Also, anyone know when Shovel Knight is releasing? They said they were postponing release for "a couple weeks", and it's been a couple weeks as of today. Still no word?
So this releases on the eShop in NA on a Wednesday? Interesting. So when I put the funds for NES Remix 2, I will make sure to put another $15 for this.
I sooo hope this game lives up as I am super looking forward to it....
beautiful
That was beautiful, but I feel like I just saw the whole game.
This is probably the most anticipated game on my wishlist (see signature). I only hope the gameplay is as beautiful as the visuals.
I'll be buying this on launch day.
Edit: As a side note, did anyone else notice that the character seemed to get older as the video progressed?
The visuals are absolutely stunning! If the reviews say it is at least a decent game, then I will probably get this sometime just to gawk at the pretty pictures. I really hope it is more than just pretty, of course. A good game with good art and good music...That's what I am hoping this is.
@Dreamz - Hey, I noticed that, too! At the start of the video, The main character looks like a child of around 7 or 8 years old, and by the end of the trailer, she looks like a young adult of around 18 years old. It'll be very interesting to see how that comes into play in the game.
Also, artwork by Yoshitaka Amano!? That's freakin awesome! I may have to preorder a physical copy, then...
@Bassman_Q
Unfortunately, there aren't any physical editions. You have the deluxe edition, that includes an artbook, keychain, and other goodies, but it has a code for the digital edition, not a disc. And the deluxe edition is only available in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and then only for PS3/4 and PC. No Wii U version.
.
I would have ordered the deluxe edition myself if not for all of the above. As it stands, I'll just have to settle for the eShop download on launch day.
Too bad, I would have loved to buy the deluxe set, but will settle for a download on day one.
@Dreamz - Aww crap, no North American love? Damn, I would've been happy with all those goodies coupled with a digital release on PC (I prefer digital anyway), but it's too bad it's only in those territories. I'll probably just wait for it to be released on Steam, then (I don't have a Wii U yet).
