Nocturnal Entertainment's Michael Shamgar has been in touch to confirm some pleasing news for download fans with a Wii U, announcing that Flowerworks HD: Follie's Adventure will arrive on the North America eShop in next week's update on 17th April; it's targeting May in Europe.
A HD remake of the WiiWare title, it'll have a standard price of $6 — it'll be available at a discount price of $3.50 for its first four weeks, however, immediately making it one of the most affordable titles on the store. Features in this version include a 60 frames-per-second performance at 1080p, two player co-op and off-TV play, while the developer states the main adventure should take most players 15-20 hours to finish. Sales of this title will be used to fund the developer's next Wii U-exclusive title, details of which are yet to be revealed.
You can see some new footage below, as well as a developer commentary that Michael Shamgar provided to us earlier this year. If you want to know more about this one be sure to check out our extensive interview with the developer.

Aw, I was hoping Scram Kitty would come out that day
17th April I think you mean. Looking forward to this!
weird game.. what is it about?
hmmmm...
Well thats an odd little game. Might pick it up for $3.50 just b/c it reminds me of Katamari. Not the gameplay, but the setting.
I'm just happy to see a developer spelling 'Colours' correctly! I never even heard of this on WiiWare...I might have a look into this one
This is so far from being 'my cup of tea' it's frightening... And yet, and yet...
Cute! Very, cute!!
More developers should adopt that early bird discount thing. The natural course of action for gamers is to wait for games to lower their price, thus hurting first week/month sales figures. With a discount like this you attract more customers and word of mouth since day 1. I am supporting this.
I was interested in Flowerworks on the Wii but never got it. At this price I'll probably be getting it day 1. I wish more WiiWare games would come to the Wii U eshop with a better price and higher definition.
This is great news! Was a fan of the WiiWare iteration so downloading this is a no-brainer.
Day one! Missed the first one on Wiiware due to other games on my list. My list is sparse now, so maybe this will scratch some sort of indie game itch. I like the genre mesh of an adventure game and a puzzle one.
Man I love the action in the later levels when the whole screen is full of fireworks, buds, popping bubbles and colours and shapes flying around. Such an instantly rewarding and huge game.
I might get it because it'll be cheap, the game looks kind of boring and I won't get it for full price.
