UKIE has issued its update of the latest comings and goings in the UK software all-format charts, and there are some positives and negatives for Nintendo to consider. At the higher end of the scale we have Pokémon X & Pokémon Y in fourth and fifth place respectively, both pushed down one position by the multi-platform release of Skylanders SWAP Force, which did also arrive on Wii U, Wii and 3DS. Activision's toy-based adventure did sell over 35% less launch copies than its predecessors, with the Wii being the most popular format with 37% of sales — the Wii U accounted for 4%.

The debut of Sonic Lost World may disappoint SEGA, with the Wii U and 3DS versions combining to reach 11th place, missing a symbolic debut in the top 10; its position next week will be a source of interest in gauging its momentum. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD follows up its debut in fourth and second week in tenth by dropping down to 16th, not necessarily impressive in pure numbers but some of the best staying power we've seen with a Wii U exclusive in recent times.

On the 3DS front we have Animal Crossing: New Leaf keeping steady in 17th, while Mario Kart 7 sneaks into 39th.

There's certainly good news for Pokémon, the Wii's share of Skylanders sales and, to an extent, The Wind Waker HD — Sonic's début could have been stronger.
