I might actually want one, only to be disappointed by the loss of ngamer. Oh well, moving on!

I honestly didn't even know this magazine was still in print. (NVM, confused it w/ NP which died in Dec.)

And the US doesn't have a release date yet for WW HD, though Oct. seems likely. It does however let you wander about in a FPS style. huh, what!?!?

While not a subscriber, I get these every month.
This one will be an interesting read.

Nice! I'll get one in a local international press store. Did the same thing when quite recently someone told me on Miiverse that one of my drawings was in the magazine.

This is weird, I remember getting the 100th issue of this magazine in it's old format. I stopped reading when half the pages were about Pokémon and the editors became incredibly biased.
How is it now?

I haven't bought this magazine in a couple years, but I might as well buy the 100th one just for kicks. Most of the reviews seem to have devolved into less than subtle advertisments or nitpick-a-thons.

I've still got the first issue on my book case somewhere featuring the original DS on the cover, can't believe that was 2006. Remember it being a genuinely great magazine and they always gave some cracking free gifts. Haven't bought it for a few years but I might pick up this special edition.

I will be getting that magazine, last time I bought a copy it had a preview of Eternal Darkness in it! or was that NMS?

Apparently, there's a bit of confusion about the accuracy of the article. The actual magazine reads:

haven't read ONM in years, mostly remember it as that magazine with the overly generous reviews, well I say reviews it was really more a picture book than anything, the actual reviews themselves barely covered a sentence, you get more reading in the sun newspaper.

Contributions are great; however, guest editing is either a gimmick or a waste of time in most cases. Get him back to work producing games for the readers to play. Anyone else thinks it's silly for him to edit a magazine primarily about the games he's working on? That's gritty journalism.

Would've sold a few more issues though. Clever marketers would have purposefully obscured his exact role.

@JimLad Better. If anything they are overly harsh with most reviews. The editor is a tosser though and annoying. The reviewers are quite a good read though.

@Reala I was the same. only recently started reading it again after my long time read, GamesTM, slowly turned into an Xbox love-a-thon.

Must say I've been pleasantly surprised with how nintendo magazine is put together these days

@Reala I've been reading ONM since I was a young kid and have every issue so far and feel that you are being far to harsh although I prefer Nintendo Power most reviews in ONM reflect the game in question well the only one in recent memory that I felt was a bad review was Zombie U as the game is terrible ( and glitchy) and did not deserve 90-92% (can't rember exact score).

Next they'll be saying the guest contributions are delayed. Then that they are further delayed because of their incredibly high journalistic standards but that they have dozens of fantastic contributions just waiting to be included in 'upcoming' issues.

Ah well at least he's still contributing and i'm looking forward to what he's contributed and the interview. It's not like he's pulled from it completly which is a good thing.

I hope this makes it to Portuguese news stands. I only missed a single issue of Retro Gamer in the past 6 or so years, issue 100 because it did not arrive at local sotres. Hopefully this wont happen with Nintendo Official Mag.

I remember a while back Jon Bon Jovi was supposed to host the Radio 1 Breakfast Show for a day, but he couldn't do it due to his Visa not allowing him to work as anything apart from a musician in the UK. I wonder if his is the same deal for Miyamoto?

If Miyamoto was the editor, the magazine would consist of only five words per page, and the same page repeating over and over again, except with little different hues.
