Capcom To Share More Details On Upcoming Titles At San Diego Comic Con

Posted by Andy Green

Batman: Arkham Origins and Assassin's Creed IV will also be there

Comic Con International 2013 will be taking place in San Diego this week and Capcom will have a large presence at the event.

The publisher will be showing off a range of titles for a mixture of platforms and will also be holding panels focusing on specific games.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, DuckTales: Remastered, Dead Rising 3 and Lost Planet 3 will be the main titles being discussed, while the company will also be sharing the latest details on Mega Man's 25th Anniversary.

It also promised there would be a "few other surprises" in store and some of these are likely to appear in the DuckTales Remastered panel taking place on 21st July, where Austin Ivansmith, the game's director, Matt Bozon, the creative director, and Rey Jimenez, the producer from Capcom, will discuss how games are made, including the design, art and music processes.

Meanwhile, there will be a special "Art of Capcom" event on the same day, where Francis Mao, senior director of creative services, will lead a panel of the company's graphic designers, artists and creative partners in order to show how video game artwork is created from concept to finish.

The World of Capcom Games panel, which will showcase all the games mentioned above, takes place on July 18th.

Other games on show include Batman: Arkham Origins, where creative director Eric Holmes will be going into the latest reveals, and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, which will feature a Q&A session and a live demo of the game.

Hopefully it's some sort of reboot and returns to form rather than the recent action heavy mindless semi call of duty bro fests we've been getting as of late...And really, Leon & Chris need to go on vacation, let Claire or Barry take the spot light for once. :p

and shweet, Ducktales remastered shall be my first eShop game tee hee.

Give mega man a 1 year contract to Nintendo a la Sega, Capcom. That's all you need to do.

@WaveBoy I want a game where you play as Rebecca again. I loved RE:0. I can't stand this new action oriented, "let's try to please everyone, end up pleasing no one" kind of game design. RE4 was amazing, but it's been all down hill from there, with the exception of Revelations.

I want some straight up, can't find any ammo survival horror, dangit!

I hope one of those surprises is that the collaboration with WayForward continues. I wonder if they would be able to handle a Mega Man game.

@sinalefa They could handle it but when it comes to them what the Publisher gets is what they ask for. (The Centipede game they did is fairly average I suppose it is what they were asked for though). They have asked for Duck Tales to be dumbed down. (The pogo stick mechanic using down is one of the best things about it and it is not even going to be the default). They should have just kept it as is as much as possible same difficulty when you start messing with it the end result is usually worse. (Look at the Dracula X Chronicles for an example. The original Rondo was much better as you can see when you unlock it if they had just changed the sprites it would have been totally fine).

Because she's practically useless aside from plunking on a band-aid and looking Hello kitty-cute. :P She doesn't even seem to be aware of the bat sh** crazy stuff that's happening around her, it's like her head is always constantly stuck in the clouds. lol Still.....She's a lot better than Leon. ;) But nobody can touch Barry, he's the man.

So hey, Ducktales? You've been given a second chance. It is time to right a twenty year old wrong. It is for great justice. It is time for the Moon Theme to be the End Theme.
