The sisters have made it to Wii U

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dream is a platformer developed by Black Forest Games and has been out on PC since October last year. A console release is imminent with a PSN and Xbox Live Arcade version on the cards as of right now.

However, the developer has confirmed on its Facebook page that Giana Sisters: Twisted Dream will be coming to the Wii U eShop as well. Speaking in the comments section of a recent update on the upcoming release, Black Forest Games said:

Wii U is also planned, one step at a time!

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dream came to be through a Kickstarter campaign where it comfortably achieved its goal of $150,000. The series dates back to 1987 when The Great Giana Sisters was released on multiple platforms including the Amiga and Commodore 64. That game got into a bit of trouble with Nintendo due to it seemingly ripping off Super Mario Bros. in several areas; the issue was resolved without any legal action, though.

This won't be the first time the sisters have made it onto a Nintendo console - Giana Sisters DS was released on the handheld a few years back. There's no release date set for this new iteration, it may come out alongside the other console versions or it may emerge later.
