Renegade Kid has more plans for Wii U

Mutant Mudds Deluxe is heading to Wii U in the first quarter of this year and it appears Renegade Kid, the game's developer, enjoyed making the game so much it will be making more Wii U titles in the future.

Speaking in an interview with Official Nintendo Magazine, Renegade Kid's co-founder Jools Watsham spoke of his love for Nintendo's new system, calling it "a great console".

Bringing Mutant Mudds Deluxe to the Wii U has been a lot of fun. Playing it on the GamePad and TV is a really fun and different experience. We will definitely be developing more Wii U games in the future.

Watsham believes eShop titles tend to crank up the difficulty compared to fully fledged retail games. He feels Mutant Mudds Deluxe carries on this philosophy, making it challenging for players old and new.

It seems as though the collective conscience decided to develop games for hardcore players instead of casual players this round. Mutant Mudds was definitely made for the type of gamer who wants and enjoys a challenge, and also likes unlocking many layers of hidden content.

Regarding improvements for the Wii U version, the only addition in that regard is the checkpoints really. I think this is an improvement in the way that it enables more players to enjoy the game and not get frustrated by the challenge presented.

Mutant Mudds Deluxe features all the content found in the 3DS version as well as 20 additional Ghost World levels. These new levels will be exclusive to the Wii U version and therefore won't be appearing as DLC for other versions.
