One of the possibilities

Straight Right is the Australian development studio that's becoming a little better known to Nintendo gamers, courtesy of it handling the Wii U port of Bioware's Mass Effect 3. The company is showing plenty of enthusiasm for Nintendo's new system, saying the following when addressing its desire to meet expectations in its high profile launch day release.

We've made a number of bets on the Wii U, so we're certainly hoping that the platform comes strongly out of the gate. We've got two other titles in development.

One of them is original, our own IP, and another is based on another big franchise that will come out in 2013. It's a big title and you will have heard of it.

It seems as if a clue has emerged on the big franchise title the developer is working on, with an eagle-eyed contributor to NeoGaf sharing the LinkedIn profile of a Straight Right Technical Project Manager, who wrote that he was working on "porting a triple-A Square Enix game to the yet-to-be-released Wii U platform". Naturally, that's prompted rumours about titles such as Sleeping Dogs and Tomb Raider, both of which would add to the mature games library on Wii U. The latter has attracted its own particular controversies, with loose comments from members of its development team and details of an attempted rape scene making a lot of headlines in the gaming industry.

Notably, the Straight Right employee in question has now amended his LinkedIn profile and removed the reference to Square Enix and a triple-A project. We do know, from the developer itself, that a well-known franchise is one of its Wii U projects for 2013, so if this is true which major Square Enix title would you like to see on Nintendo's new system?
