Wreck-It Ralph is in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

Sonic'll still win
SEGA and Disney have collaborated to make Wreck-It Ralph's dreams come true: he's going to be a playable character in upcoming kart racer Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
The character, who will star in Disney's computer animated movie Wreck-It Ralph, will rev up on the starting line alongside SEGA all-stars including Super Monkey Ball's AiAi, Golden Axe dwarf Gilius Thunderhead and the speedy blue 'hog himself. Plus NASCAR driver Danica Patrick. He will, of course, be bringing his own transformable vehicle to race through the courses, which are set through air and sea as well as land.
Wreck-It Ralph tells the story of Ralph, a video game villain who's tired of being the bad guy in another character's game. He breaks free of his arcade cabinet in search of glory in his own starring hero role, meeting several icons of gaming along the way — including Sonic and Dr Robotnik. Here's the trailer.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will be out on 3DS and Wii U in November. Wreck-It Ralph will be showing in your local movie emporium around the same time.
SAN DIEGO – July 13, 2012 – SEGA® of America Inc. and SEGA® Europe Ltd. are delighted to announce that the title character of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming comedy, Wreck-It Ralph, will appear alongside Sonic the Hedgehog in the highly-anticipated racing video game Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed™. The thrilling racing adventure allows players to race through land, air and water in new dynamic tracks inspired by classic SEGA video games. Wreck-It Ralph’s unique transformable vehicles and signature All-Star move will make for some of the best racing around when he lines up against other All-Stars such as Sonic, AiAi and Danica Patrick, in both single player and multiplayer game modes.
“Wreck-It Ralph will make a great addition to our stellar cast in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed,” said Masanao Maeda, Chairman and Chief Content Officer, SEGA of America. “Disney has created a unique film experience that will appeal to gamers of all ages, and our video game collaboration will give fans the opportunity to interact with their character on the small screen as well.”
“To have Wreck-It Ralph included in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is a dream come true,” said Rich Moore, director of the animated feature film Wreck-It Ralph. “The film pays homage to the video games I loved as a kid, including Sonic the Hedgehog in a special cameo, so being able to see Wreck-It Ralph in a real video game alongside Sonic and other iconic SEGA characters is unbelievably exciting for me and should be a treat for fans!”
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will be available on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, PlayStation®Vita system, the Nintendo 3DS™ hand-held system, Nintendo’s Wii U™ system and Windows PC Digital Download this November.

I'm more interested that the Wii U copy is also due for release in November.
Still, looking forward to picking this up on PS3.

Are you kidding me?!!!! First Danica Patrick and now Wreck-it Ralph?! At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Optimus Prime was announced as a playable racer acting as his own set of vehicles.

Apparently Ralph wasn't too impressed to stay in the game Sugar Rush for very long. It's still cool that he's game-jumping, though, and I'm still interested in playing his arcade game.

It isn't called Sonic and SEGA all stars, it's called Sonic and All Stars.
I also hope that they bring in all of the current voice actors for characters like Sonic, Dr. Robotnik, Bowser, etc.

Wait, Danica Patrick?

I'll still get this though.
And imma see Wreck-It Ralph Day 1, so I'm glad he's in the game.

Wreck-it-Ralph at least makes some amount of sense, unlike Danica Patrick.

I know this might seem overkill at this point, but I hope Banjo returns as a racer in the Xbox 360 version.

Cool. Still, why is Danica Patrick in this game? I hope SEGA is getting paid to include her instead of SEGA paying.

Hopefully Banjo will still be in the Xbox version. Actually, it'd be really awesome if Conker was added.
Or maybe Master Chief. Wouldn't be any more weird than Danica Patrick.

The question is, is Ralph going to start showing up in other games for different companies that also had copyright characters in the movie? Like will we see cameos of him in Halo or Smash Bros? Obviously an almost zero chance, but I wouldn't be a 100% surprised if he hops to other games as well!

They need to have Agent G and Isaac Washington from HOTD: Overkill in it...
...though the game's rating would rise a couple of notches.

Nice to see that Disney's being clever with their concept of game-jumping. He should be in Sony's All-Stars Battle Royale next.
