Nintendo Download: 10th November 2011 (Europe)

Posted by James Newton

Freaks, fish and hustlers

A trio of titles on the download formats this week, with 3DS owners best catered for; Wii owners, nothing for you this week, sadly.

3DS eShop

Freakyforms: Your Creations, Alive! (Nintendo, £5.40/€6) — Previously known as Picture Lives!, you create a bizarre life form and bring it to life to explore the world around it. A simultaneous release in North America, we'll see how it shapes up in our upcoming review.

3DS Virtual Console

Side Pocket (Game Boy, G-Mode, £2.70/€3) — Take to the baize in this sadly dated take on cue sports. Read through our Side Pocket review for more.

The Aquarium of Luck (MSL, 500pts) — It was only a matter of time before a fish tank simulator made its way to DSiWare, and MSL's effort sees you cleaning the water, tending to the fish and playing a spot of match-three to earn money to keep your aquatic friends happy. We'll have a full review soon.

That is your lot this week, European download fans. Anything for you?

Waiting for reviews on Freakyforms. I hope its gameplay is good enough to enjoy the game even if you're not too thrilled by the creative part of it.

Side Pocket was expected at some point so I can't really complain about the 3DS VC. And I've stopped expecting released for the Wii. But still not a great week. Nothing for me.

Finally a 3DSWare game that I might be interesting in buying. Was kinda hoping Colors was coming soon too.

@cammy, if you havnt already got it, I would definetly recomend Pyramids. The trailers dont do it the justice it deserves but I have really enjoyed it.
The additional downloadable levels via QR codes are a nice touch.

Im glad to see that Freakyforms uses QR codes to share "creations" also as I dont know anybody else who may be buying this game.

Freakyforms looks kinda creepy but I'm yet to decide if that's a good or a bad thing. Waiting for the review. Maybe I'll get it someday when I need to buy some other games.

Really wanting to try out Freakyforms. Finally, something interesting hits the eShop.

It's a good thing they're releasing a VC and a 3DSWare game on the same week. It's always good to have more variety, even if Side Pocket sucks.

(You know what's sad? I'll still be getting Side Pocket eventually, 'cause I'm a sucker for GB games and gotta have them all

Oh! 2 3DS Downloads! That never happened!
I might get freakyforms. looks like a better version of Drawn To Life.

The Aquarium of Luck (MSL, 500pts) tempted to get it but

1... I doubt it ever sees a NA release
2.. i think there is some sort of cart based game you can buy dirt cheap

i guess i would grab it if it ever came to the states since the game is Fishdom or something like that and runs almost 20 bucks

My first impressions of Freaky Forms have been very good, seems like plenty of content for your money.
A nice bonus on the eShop is that Episode 1 of the Kirby show is available to stream, I hope the bring the others that they had on the wii.

Could we have review for freakyforms sooner rather then later?

Sum of use want buy it! lol

Absolutely love Freakyforms. Was expecting it to be okay but it's far surpassed my expectations. As long as you don't mind creating things you'll enjoy it. I played it for three hours straight.

Would like to see a review on here or in NGamer to get more details before deciding, but FreakyForms looks like it'll be ace (and people seem to be saying good things in the comments!)

Was hoping for GBA ambassador games before Mario. Since Kirby's Adventure is out next week I expect them to arrive on 27 Nov, as there's a lot of 3DSWare out in December.
