WayForward's Next DSiWare Game is Mighty Milky Way

Posted by James Newton

ESRB outs galactic title

WayForward has created some of DSiWare's finest titles – in fact, Shantae: Risky's Revenge is the only game on the service awarded a 10/10 score – so the ESRB's rating of a new title from the studio should get your thumbs standing to attention.

Called Mighty Milky Way, it's an action-puzzle game involving portals, platforms and a giant robotic T-Rex that shoots laser beams. If that doesn't get your thumbs alert and craving more information, we don't know what will.

We'll bring you more on Mighty Milky Way as it arrives.

Mighty Milky Way
Platform: Nintendo DSi
Rating: Everyone
Content descriptors: Comic Mischief

Rating summary:
This is an action-puzzle game in which players help a green-skinned alien navigate toward warp portal exits. Players avoid hazards (e.g., pink puff balls, electric barriers) and create planets to use as jumping platforms. At the end of each level, players must dodge laser beams shot from a robotic T-Rex; the dinosaur sinks off-screen amid small explosions when defeated.

...wow! "Awesome" is right! Hopefully we won't have to wait for it as long in Europe as Mighty Flip Champs and Shantae... (hint, hint)

Wayforwards previous downloadable games have been some of the best games on their services, so I hope this one is too.

Reminds me of this:

T-Rex not included.

@All if you didn't notice, the Meat girl is the same person who plays Phea on Nintendo Week.

@shrinesprite: I forgot how sort of amazing that video was. Never downloaded it, but I like the effort.
I wonder if this game will be a sequel/spin-off of Mighty Flip Champs, then, given the name?
