GoldenEye's New Tank Stage Goes Big on the Bangs
Posted by Jon Wahlgren
It turns out that St. Petersburg is more than a foggy maze
Only one more week to go before Eurocom's re-imagining of GoldenEye 007 hits North American shelves, and few things should get the hype train a-rollin' like watching Bond blow up the entire planet in a tank.
The developers certainly aren't messing around when it comes to updating the tank stage of the original, having taken that clunky, missile-laden run through the streets of St. Petersburg and created what looks to be a much more interesting and diverse segment over highways, through a construction site and smack-dab into a train.
But will there be blue mines in the middle of the street to blow up? Guess we'll all find out next week.

@triforceofcourage - just remind them that it is better for you to pretend then actually do it... then cough out the word 'menendez'

Y'know, I'm still kinda iffy on this game. I mean, everything I've seen and heard is good, but it still seems like a bit of a cash-grab on Activision's part. :/

Well, Link makes enemies go "poof" in Zelda.
@V8 Ninja
It is a cash-grab on Activision's part. Doesn't mean the game won't be awesome though.
Hmmm, now how can I play THAT level stealthily?

Does anyone know if there will be wiimote aiming support in this game? Or is it classic controller/gamecube controller only?
#17
irken004 said:
@Solar It supports CC and wiimote/nun-chuck.

LuWiiGi said:
@TheSolarKnight There's wiimote support. And judging by IGN's recent article, the wiimote aiming is fantastic.

So long as you can get in and out of the tank whenever you want.
If they remove that then they've effectively killed it.

How can people watch these videos and still call it a shallow cash grab? The amount of work that has gone into this game has been ridiculous.

@JimLad:
James Bond never did that in the movie.
