Xseed have just sent over some more information on their upcoming Ivy the Kiwi releases for Nintendo Wii and DS due to hit store shelves this summer. They've also sent the first part of their ongoing story for the games that will be released in parts between now and the official release date.

Prologue:
Ivy the Kiwi? is a new interactive entertainment project from the creator of Sonic the Hedgehog and one of the video game industry’s most influential talents, Yuji Naka. Ivy the Kiwi? is Naka-san’s latest creative project from his independent game company, PROPE, and publishing partner XSEED Games that will take players on an endearing storybook inspired adventure that will no doubt tug at heartstrings while engaging in an unique, family friendly video game. The game is scheduled for release in summer 2010.

This reminds me of New Zealand Story. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, but there is something ... I dunno. Something though.
Nice story. Of course, I'm not really buying until I see some gameplay.
I like the storybook take on the story. I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for any follow-up features regarding this game...

Wait is this a retail release or a Download? I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere this was gonna be a D'L game...
if it is like Canvas Cures, i'll get it.
this will be a DSiware and Wiiware game months after the release
