Top 20 DSiWare Games in USA (29th Oct)

Posted by Corbie Dillard

It's Thursday and time for our DSiWare Top 20!

It's time to take a look at the most popular DSiWare titles available on the DSi Shop. If you're feeling adventurous you can even take a look for yourself by simply logging on to the DSi Shop, heading into the DSiWare section and then viewing by "Popular Games". It's that easy!

We compile this list using the USA region DSi Shop, so if you live elsewhere your list will probably be quite a bit different. Please feel free to post your region's findings below as always.

Keep in mind that the list below is based on the total number of downloads made recently, not an overall total of downloads since the game's original release.

Top 20 DSiWare Games for the 29th of October:

1 [1] - Flipnote Studio
2 [2] - Nintendo DSi Browser
3 [10] - Crash Course Domo
4 [3] - MySims Camera
5 [13] - Rock-n-Roll Domo
6 [4] - Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon
7 [14] - Pro-Putt Domo
8 [6] - Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again
9 [5] - Dragon Quest Wars
10 [-] - White-Water Domo
11 [19] - Hard-Hat Domo
12 [9] - Guitar Rock Tour
13 [8] - Paper Airplane Chase
14 [7] - Thorium Wars
15 [11] - Asphalt 4: Elite Racing
16 [12] - Bird & Beans
17 [16] - Dr. Mario Express
18 [17] - WarioWare: Snapped!
19 [N] - Sudoku
20 [15] - Mario Clock

* [N] - Denotes a brand new entry in the Top 20
* [-] - Denotes a game that was not on the Top 20 last week

While the two freebies are still firmly entrenched in the top two spots, we did see Crash Course Domo jump up into the coveted #3 spot this week. In fact, all of the Domo titles made significant jumps on this week's Top 20, including White-Water Domo, which finally made an appearance on the chart after just missing out last week.

The big climber this week was White-Water Domo, which jumped from off the chart completely last week, all the way up to #10. The big dropper this week was Thorium Wars, which fell seven spots to #14.

With the debuts of White-Water Domo and Sudoku, two titles had to inevitably drop off of the Top 20. Art Academy: First Semester and Oscar in Toyland both fell off the chart this week and only time will tell if they can manage a comeback.

WOOHOO! Go Domo! now the question is, "Should there be more Domo games on DSiWare?" I think there should be. LOL Domo invasion!

I downloaded Pro Put Domo and have yet to download Thorium Wars so I'm partially responsible for this weeks charts.

Domo's not that good, the 200 point titles just always sell higher volumes, because they're cheaper.

It's kinda funny that Oscar and Art Academy both left the chart this week, and they were both released on the same day

[N] New releases on the top 20
[-] Titles that were not on the Top 20 list the previous week (or in this case, a first Top 20 List for Canada covered by Versus22).

This week marks the first Top 20 entry for the Canadian region for the DSiWare service (if not covered in nearly the first 7 months). As usual, we see the freebies (Flipnote Studio, Nintendo DSi Browser) in the top 2 spots.

One of the new releases, SUDOKU, marked its entry to #16. PictureBook Games: The Royal Bluff did not make the top 20 this week yet. Hopefully, it will enter next week, as it is a pretty unique card game that I recommend over the other card games so far on the DSiWare service (the rest of them are stripped from the retail versions).
