Competitions: Follow nintendolife on Twitter

Tell us a joke and be in for a chance to win 2000 Nintendo points.

Here’s an easy competition for all you crazy kids who are down with Twitter. Simply follow nintendolife and tweet us with a funny joke using no more than 140 characters. The tweet which makes us chuckle the most will win the prize – it couldn’t be simpler!

We promise to follow you back too, so you can appear to be even more popular to all your pals on teh interwebs!

The prize on offer is 2000 Nintendo points for the NTSC-U or PAL region, which means this competition is open to residents of North America, Europe and Australia in effect.

Get Twittering folks! We’ll decide who the lucky winner at a random time on Tuesday, 23rd June.

That's why I hate twitter - because everyone follows everyone so they can send each other direct messages etc, even if you don't care about the other person's updates.

I missed out on a competition for the (yet-to-be-released) Zune HD because I needed to join the site hosting the contest and Twitter. No way I'm joining both that site and Twitter for that and this competition isn't going to change my mind. Can't we have a good, old-fashioned e-mail competition?

@Dazza: I don't mind twitter, but I just hate certain things about it, such as the way that most people on twitter (including myself :D ) just use it to show off their business and sites, and spam others, as well as how people have to follow someone to direct message them, even if they don't want to recieve updates etc. etc. Otherwise, I like it because of its simplicity.

Personally I use a program called twhirl, which works nicely. There's different ways of using Twitter but it's worth it!
