It's time to take a look at the most popular WiiWare titles available on the Wii Shop Channel. If you're feeling adventurous you can even take a look for yourself by simply logging on to your Wii Shop Channel, heading into the WiiWare section and then viewing "Popular Games". It's that easy!
We compile this list using the USA region Wii Shop channel, so if you live elsewhere your list will probably be quite a bit different. Please feel free to post your region's findings below as always.
Keep in mind that the list below is a measure of actual sales made recently, not of the total time the game has been available for sale.
Here is the list for the 6th of May:
1 - World of Goo
2 - My Aquarium
3 (3) - Tetris Party
4 (4) - My Pokémon Ranch
5 (8) - Crystal Defenders R1
6 (5) - Onslaught
7 (6) - Dr Mario Online Rx
8 (7) - Cue Sports - Pool Revolution
9 (9) - Defend Your Castle
10 (10) - Fun! Fun! Minigolf
11 (11) - Brain Challenge
12 (12) - Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King
13 (17) - Sandy Beach
14 (13) - Bomberman Blast
15 (15) - Pop'Em Drop'Em SAMEGAME
16 (19) - Wild West Guns
17 (20) - Bit.Trip Beat
18 (16) - Midnight Bowling
19 (18) - Target Toss Pro: Bags
20 (14) - Equilibrio
* (N) - Denotes a brand new entry on the Top 20
* - Denotes a game that was not on the Top 20 last week
Well the "Fabulous Five" didn't last long, as Crystal Defenders R1 jumped up three notches into the fifth spot supplanting Hudson's Onslaught title. Don't feel too bad for Onslaught, as it only fell one spot to #6. As usual, World of Goo retains the top spot and who knows how much longer its incredible run at #1 will last.
The big climber this week was Konami's Sandy Beach, which jumped up four spots to #13. And not only did Bit.Trip Beat not fall off the charts after placing #20 last week, but it managed to jump up three spots to #17. Wild West Guns even managed to pop up three spots as well. The big dropper this week was Equilibrio, which plummeted a whopping six spots down to #20. Could this title be on its way to a quick exit from the Top 20?
It was a strange week as most of the movement came from the bottom half of the Top 20, with very little movement in the top half of the chart. There were also no new entries on the Top 20 this week either.

same ol same

(20) 17 - TV Show King
(18) 18 - Defend Your Castle
(9) 19 - Bomberman Blast
(R) 20 - CueSports - Snooker vs Billiards
Sure, it did take longer for it to reach 1st than Bubble Bobble Plus! and odds are that it will fall back down to double digits within a few weeks but even so, BTB is the reigning champ of our local charts and that in itself is impressive. Especially considering that no one and their grandma has Atari 2600 nostalgia here.
Can't say I'm disappointed. World of Goo is so awesome, it deserves its own stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In fact, I already made one for it. Succulent!
No, my Fabulous Five!!! Perhaps this is a sign that the top games will see changes soon? Or is this just a temporary thing, like when WoG was not on top? (Its hard to remember but there were a few weeks where it wasn't.)
Crystal Defenders so high up! I wonder how these games did in Canada. I should give it a quick look.
Well, the top 4 remained the same. Can we just change it to the Fabulous 4?

The chart of everybody's favourite UK:
1 (1) - My Aquarium
2 (2) - Texas Hold'em Tournament
3 (3) - World of Goo
4 (N) - Bit.Trip Beat
5 (4) - Onslaught
6 (5) - My Pokemon Ranch
7 (6) - Pop-Up Pirate!
8 (10) - Adventure Island: The Beginning
9 (7) - Equilibrio
10 (8) - Bubble Bobble Plus!

14 (N) - Crystal Defenders R1
15 (13) - Tetris Party
16 (16) - TV Show King
17 (14) - The Incredible Maze
18 (17) - FUN! FUN! Minigolf
19 (15) - Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A King
20 (18) - CueSports - Snooker vs. Billiards
The top 3 remain the same, Bit.Trip makes a well-deserved debut at 4, causing 3 titles to be shifted down a place each, Adventure Island following up with a 2-spot climb, the next 2 dropping 2 places each, with Bomberman Blast climbing 1 and Defend Your Castle dropping 1, Snowboard Riot shunted down 4 spots, Crystal Defenders entering at 14, Tetris down 2 but TV Show King is a non-mover, which can't be said for the 3-spot dropper The Incredible Maze, the 1-spot dropper FUN! FUN! Minigolf, the 4-spot dropper My Life as a King or CueSports which drops 2 but hangs on in there unlike LostWinds or Space Invaders which have both been kicked out of the top 20. End of sentence.
When I read that Bit.Trip had not only not fallen off, but had risen a bit, I shouted for no apparent reason. I hope at least a few of those sales are from my preaching.
Have no idea why Crystal Defenders went up, though. It seems like the audience for that would've all bought it instantly.
I expect that World of Goo won't go down until everybody with a Wii buys it.
C'mon SWEDEN!!!! Our Engineer, Chris Osborn is half Swedish! This one is for the homeland!!!!
Who has the Top 20 for Japan?
Damn it seems soo hard for games that fall out of the top20 popularity list to get a come back.
@ Djungelurban
Swedish people love the good old atari2600 times , eh?
Is there a popular local swedish webside for WiiWare news?
@Dawnclaude
Well, as a rule Swedes really don't love A2600 games, but at the same time I think that Swedish gamers in general are fairly educated and research the titles before buying them. And considering all the good press that BTB has gotten, well it's not entirely unexpected that it reached 1st place. Ok, maybe a little bit but I did expect it in the top 3 atleast.
And as far as I know there's no dedicated WiiWare site in Swedish. There's really no demand for one anyway, most Swedes just use the English sites with little to no hassle.
Germany:
(1) 1 Texas Hold'em Tournament
(2) 2 My Aquarium
(4) 3 World of Goo
(3) 4 Onslaught
(7) 5 TV Show King
(12) 6 Crystal Defenders R1
(-) 7 Bit Trip Beat
(5) 8 Equilibrio
(6) 9 Fun Fun Minigolf
(8) 10 Tetris Party
(14) 11 Adventure Island The Beginning
(9) 12 My Pokemon Ranch
(11) 13 Bomberman Blast
(13) 14 Brain Challenge
(10) 15 Buble Bobble Plus
(15) 16 Snowboard Riot
(16) 17 Pop-Up Pirate
(20) 18 LostWinds
(18) 19 Defend Your Castle
(19) 20 Midnight Bowling
Eliminated: Family & Friends Party
Poker holds, WoG climbs another bit, Bubble Bobble continues its descent (4 to 10 to 15), BTB debuts fairly high and Crystal Defenders rises big. Adventure Island seems to have settled into its position.
onslaught continues placing-awesome, wii needs more fps support- a shame I can never seem to find an online game though
Do a Top 20 VC list for once. These WiiWare lists never change.
Actually, the VC list changes far less frequently than the Wiiware list.
I can't believe that Pokemon Ranch has once again beaten out Dr Mario and Cue Sports. Geeeze...
In other news, I find it fascinating that two of the launch titles are still in the Top 20 after a whole year
I still need to get BTB. I'll be downloading it whenever I get more points. I know that much.
Do we know if NOA has ever updated Bit.Trip.Beat such that it no longer has the game save bug? That is, it only saves your progress if you get a high score. That bug does not exist in the versions distributed in other countries. Do they ever release updated versions of WiiWare games?
a strange top 20 so many games changed places yet the top 3 never change
