Joost van Dongen of Ronimo Games has just confirmed the delay after rumblings began popping up around the internet regarding a possible delay. We can only assume that more time was needed to polish up the game and hopefully it will be time well spent once we get a chance to play the finished product.
We'll have more information on Swords & Soldiers as it becomes available, as well as a full review once the title hits the WiiWare service.

Well that's horrible news.
If it makes it a better game, then by all means let the game be delayed. I'd hate to see this one rushed.
I must admit that I'm a bit disappointed myself. This is one WiiWare title I'm really looking forward to.

This game is only being delayed three months and three months ago the developers of this game said No to online.
So no online.
If this came out on December like they wanted; the 19th was going to be a hectic WiiWare update, with Orbient, S&S and WoG.
AlexSays, things change. Nintendo could finally be offering better Apis, custom tools, etc.. we don't know

Delays suck initially but they always make the game better in the long run.
Swords and Soldiers is on my most want wiiware games right next to Gradius Rebirth and Cave Story.
And now its delayed...sob

@BDPatVCR: that's pretty intriguing, though you'd have thought they'd have said something before if there were to be WFC.
