EA estimate that a total of 12-14 million Wii's will be sold in the two regions alone during 2008. This is a significantly stronger estimate than the predicted sales of the PS3 at 9.5-11.5 million and XBOX 360 at 6-8 million.

According to EA it is in Europe that the XBOX 360 will struggle the most where they only expect around 1.5-2.5 million consoles to be sold. I'd put the low figures down to the fact that most people who want 360's already have one but what do I know?

EA also predicted that Nintendo will be the strongest supplier of handheld consoles in the world too with the DS shifting around 14-16 million units. By comparison the PSP is likely to sell somewhere in the region of 6-8 million.
