Earlier today at the Games Developers Conference, Nintendo president announced a partnership with Sega which would bring over 1,000 titles from its Megadrive (or Genesis in the USA) to the Revolution's back catalog.

"Revolution owners will be able to relive their past gaming glories from the Sega Genesis console by playing a 'best of' selection from more than 1,000 Genesis titles, as well as games sold for the TurboGrafx console (a system jointly developed by NEC and Hudson). These games join Revolution’s access to 20 years of fan-favorite Nintendo games from the NES, Super NES and Nintendo 64 eras."

This announcement will certainly boost Revolutions appeal to the older games who can remember countless hours on their Megadrive systems in the early 90's. We'd heard whispers of this a number of months ago, but now it has been confirmed -- however we're still unsure if other systems will be added further down the line, time will tell.
