We've only really been told Nintendo's next console, codenamed Revolution, would be released sometime in 2006. Facts about an actual release date have been very vague and often unreliable.
However, Gamespot today reported that in an interview from today's Sankei Shinbun, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata gave the game away.
"We can't disclose the Revolution's release period yet, but we have no plans to miss out on the year-end sales battle. As for North America, we need to release it by Thanksgiving, or otherwise we won't receive support from the retail industry. So the Revolution will be released prior to that period."
So there you have it, Revolution will ship prior to the Thanksgiving holiday in the US, hopefully us Europeans won't have to wait too much longer because Iwata also stated that America will be getting the console first.
Christmas launch in the EU? Hopefully.

Still seems so far away.
Well at least the GC can revel in the glory of Twilight Princess before the Rev takes away the spotlight totally. Seriously thinking of importing a rev, or maybe they will do what M$ are doing and allow the developers to choose if they want to region code or not.
Get writing those letters kids!
I know Ant and I will will be importing, will anyone else?
