Many players may have noticed that shells seem to be worth a significant amount of Bells in Animal Crossing: New Horizons - specifically certain types of shell. In fact, we've found this to be one of the quickest and easiest ways to make a little extra cash in the game. But which shells are worth picking up, and which are just a waste of space? And what are those Summer Shells that appear in June used for?

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Shell Price Guide

Check out our complete list of shell prices for all 12 shell types, below - from highest to lowest in value - and optimize your shell-gathering shenanigans. You can even hit the 'Shell Name' header to order them alphabetically, if you like:

Of course, shells are one of the few natural resources on your island that will respawn frequently every day - often by the hour. However, they will mean a few more trips to Nook's Cranny for selling than with most resources, as you'll find quite a few of them throughout the day.

You can also hold onto them and craft shell-based furniture once you find the recipes for these items - luckily, none of the shells are too difficult to find throughout the game, and the furniture series is quite pretty.

What do you do with Summer Shells?
