I'll bet it's a good game, DESPITE what people say. So the graphics are kinda meh compared to Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday and Buster Busts Loose!, so what? If it plays good, it plays good. That I bet is the case.

Well done Nintendo and Sega for getting throught some legal hurdles.

Yes, SSBFan, that's the case. All the more reason NES TMNT I costs 600 Wii Points instead of the regular 500 Points.

Licenses are a tricky affair. One company getting a license doesn't mean all companies are able to get licences for whatever they want. Sega getting the Micheal Jackson license won't change the mind/circumstances of whoever is holding Earthbound back. And I am expecting it will be 900 points too.

@StarBoy91: Makes me wonder why Konami has yet to release the remaining TMNT games yet. With us finally getting Micheal Jackson's Moonwalker, we're likely to be seeing the TMNT games on the Virtual Console, especially Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Arcade Game and TMNT 3. However, like Bass X0 said, getting licenses to release a game is very difficult.

You have got to be kidding me!? If this can come to VC anything can. Like a previous poster said... I'll believe it when I see it.

@Link79: Exactly. While most licensed game already unlikely are still unlikely, all games are more likely to see an Virtual Console release thanks to this game.

But like Bass X0 said, licensing issues are tough to clear out.

Sorry man, but you're talking nonsense here Super Smash Bros. TMNT is from a different developer and publisher entirely and is a completely different license. Just because this game is allegedly coming to VC does NOT mean any other licensed games will come to VC, including TMNT.

Please stop getting peoples hopes up.

Not to mention having one of the greatest power ups in a video game! The ability to turn into ROBO JACKSON whenever your touch a shooting star in the Genesis version and rescuing Bubbles in the arcade version.

I would love to get this game if it ever came out on VC, even though it wouldn't be a great game, but It would be fun to play as Michael!

A game about a man, who later was cited as possibly(not definitely) being a child molester? I never owned this, as I never had a MD, but from the video the gameplay looks at least half-decent,... sorta. I'm just not into MJ, either way. As for the presentation, it looks/sounds pretty good for a MD game. But then again, since I never owned a MD, I can only do so much comparison over different MD games' qualities.

& although 1 license doesn't always have any influence on other licenses, legally speaking, this will still create a spike of opinions from the VC users, that Nintendo, & others must try even harder to bust down any license barriers left on the VC. I was already slightly surprised by LucasArts joining the fray earlier this year. Maybe others will see $, & follow.

Oh well, at least we can honor the king of pop...with this mediocore video game.

All right. If it's the MegaDrive version, I'll be happy. If it's the arcade version, I'll be happy. If it's the Master System version, I'll be happy. So basically I'll be happy no matter what version Sega chooses.

THe King of Rock N' Roll (Elvis) died. It took some time, but people got over it. The King of Pop (MJ) died. It will take some time, but people will eventually get over him as well. I, for one, am getting tired of all the Michael Jackson propaganda. However, if they release this game on Virtual Console, it will be a big hit regardless, even if for all the wrong reasons...

Knowing Sega though, they'll probably release both versions. They'll release the Genesis/MD version first(so people actually buy that inferior version) and then release the Arcade version in 4-6 months.

to be honest, it was fun back in the day. i got it for x-mas as a kid when it came out. the hype surrounding it was insane... the original commercials and stuff made it look like the game every kid must have, and at the time, next to nirvana and g n' r, jackson was still the closest thing kids had to a king of pop/rock...

oh yeah, kinda strange but the game involves michael rescuing little children... good old mj

This game is classic. I played it when i was a kid and it's great. What's with all these TBA release dates though? C'mon, it's not like they've got packaging and distribution to deal with...let's get some of these "coming soon" titles out there already. How long can it really take to crank out these emulations? I'm guessing not long. And what's with japan getting all the good ones first (of course that's how it's always been in the video game industry)...Oh well, i'm loving the VC. Just a little impatient at times I guess. BTW i heard there was an Xbox360/ ps3 michael jackson game in the works that's supposed to come out in the next year or so.
