Obviously there's no telling whether or not it'll even come out on WiiWare...but if it did, would you consider buying it after all the bad reviews of the original version? Would you be willing to believe that the control issues were sorted out in the port, or would you be reluctant?

I'm just curious, because I think a lot of people (myself included) would be interested in buying this game, and I don't know why the company doing the porting is sitting on it. How does that benefit them? Were they paid in advance or something, and they just took the money and ran off to Mexico? Why not release the thing and make some cash from the sales?

I thought about that, but last I heard Luc was in the dark about the status of the port...ie: how far along the team was. I'd imagine that if the team finished they'd let him know. Nintendo giving it the thumbs down would be a whole other issue for Luc to get upset about, and we all know he's happy enough to vent when he has something to be upset about.

I get the feeling it was either abandoned or never started to begin with...

I haven't heard anything about this game in ages! I actually forgot about it until I saw this thread. This game looks like it has the potential to be great. If there are problems with this game then hopefully they are just taking their time fixing it before it comes out. Clearly there are plenty of people who are willing to buy it, myself included. I hope we do get the chance to see this game come out some day.

I understand Alex's attitude entirely, and, to be honest, I share it. Just not to the extent that it would put me off the game. Eternity's Child has a fantastic art style, and, as someone else mentioned, the music is supposed to be quite good as well.

Luc may not always be on his best behavior, but it is important to separate the art from the artist.

Anyway, returning to the topic at hand, yeah, it seems a lot of people are willing to buy this game in spite of bad reviews...which means there is money just laying around waiting to be spent. Why on Earth are they not releasing the game? Surely a cancellation at this late stage would be foolish...and not telling the game's creator that it's been canceled is even dumber!

i was stoked about this game when i heard about it and still am. i would buy it if it came to wiiware. i do know that i gripe alot for games like this but there is a reason for that....

despite the bad reviews i honestly think that it wasnt was bad as everyone put it out to be. the controls might not have been as great as everyone wanted on the xbox360, but they might be perfect for the wii .

I try. Actually Paul was pretty quick to respond. Much more so than I expected.

It does sound interesting, so whilst I was never committed to it I'm certainly interested to find out how it turns out on the Wii. With luck the WiiWare version will be the definitive version of the game.

Oh, and I like Luc's "rockstar" antics; especially the fact that he's comfortable enough in his own skin to post in comments threads here!
