is there any chance that nintendo will raise the space limit to over 40mb? I understand wanting to keep file size fairly small but with sd card storage working well and sdhc support to me it would make sense to raise the limit. maybe 80mb would be good and less restrictive. I like the current wiiware games but a larger limit would allow games to be more ambitious without having to be spread into multiple releases like space invaders get even. any thoughts?
I doubt it; I think amount of time to download is a bit of an issue; a bigger issue is the limited amount of on-board flash available since anything you run off of SD gets copied into internal flash to start.
