@PuppetMaster I share your skepticism. Also, if the rumors about Retro doing a Kid Icarus ever turn out to be true, the kid has no hope for a proper sequel that shares the feel of the original. And I agree: Without the eggplant curse, it's not Kid Icarus. That will be our litmus test if a new title ever comes out.
While neither of these games will come out on VC, I'd like a Yoshi's Safari 2 with 20 levels, a varied choice of level designs, enemis/bosses and difficulty, and a Duck Hunt game with a nice subtitle and a Wi-Fi Co-op option. and use Wii play shooting controls.

Actually a direct sequel to the N64 Zelda titles would be fun, didn't MM end unresolved, I presume Link was searching for Navi, but he didn't find her in MM, so having that storyline concluded would be something.

Of course, Nintendo would have to release MM in the US first... Grumble, grumble. But that would be a good idea, just don't expect to see it on WiiWare.

I think more of remakes than sequels when it comes to WiiWare games so I would say: a Castlevania Rebirth a Streets of Rage remix a Shadow Dancer Returns a Thunder Force Plus Gargoyle's Quest IV

A Super Mario 64 2, in which they could include beta elements like simultanious Mario and Luigi 2 player, and maybe more stars.
I wish 64-bit could get more attention like 8-bit. Even though my first console were a SNES and a Gameboy, I still love 64-bit and it's rough, simplistic polygons.
