Topic: WiiWare sales (discounts, not #)

I was just curious about the complete lack of special discount sales on WiiWare. I think many more-than-cheap games would benefit from a good sale. Before anyone asks, it is possible. Though I know it's on the VC and not WiiWare, there was a sale about a year ago in which Sega put up several titles for 50% off. That's when I bought Sonic 1 and 2. If other developers did this, it could help them sell ALOT more games. My question is this: Is something keeping developers from doing sales on WiiWare? Is Nintendo charging too much to put the games up for sale, or are the developers just greedy? (And yes, I realize that games are an industry for making money. That said, why are the same games sold for less on competing platforms than on the Wii?)

The reason I was thinking about this is that telltale is having a sale on the Strongbad games on the PS3. You can get all 5 games for $15, 70% less than the WiiWare versions. I, having bought the first 2 games already, can't help but feel a little cheated, because a sale like this would have allowed me to get all 5 for less than what I paid for the first 2.

Devolopers aren't greedy, Nintendo has total control over a game's price point on the service, so developers have no say about doing sales (or even much about how much their game will cost, Nintendo makes the final decision on that point too). And Nintendo don't seem too interested in running sales.
The only reason Sega had a sale was because they're big enough to make that kind of deal with Nintendo.
