For all those having trouble choosing between WiiWare games, this is the thread for you! Ask for recommendations here.
if you're trying to choose between a WiiWare game and something else, though, the Universal Recommendations Thread may be what you're looking for. :3

Okay:
Me and my brother recently bought Pokemon Rumble with some Xmas money, and now we have 500 Wii points unused (Oh how I wish I could transfer them to my DSi...). Does any one have any suggestions for a good 500 point WiiWare Game?

And for those that are wondering, I do not own a Classic Controller or a Gamecube Controller, so most(?) VC titles are off the list - that's why I leant towards WiiWare...

It would help if you told us what country you live in because some games arn't available everywhere. Also tell us what genre your interested in.

If you live anywhere but North America get Uno. If you do live in North America get The Magic Oblisk or Rabbids Lab if you don't got enough money for the retail game Rabbids Go Home like me.

Sorry about that, I live in New Zealand (PAL) which I suppose comes under UK/EU releases.

Funnily enough, we just bought Rabbids Go Home and my brother has UNO on his DSi.

And for the genre, probably adventure or action - something worth the money, I suppose.

Is Magic Obelisk very long? I've been thinking about it. How easy is it? Hopefully not too easy.

Yeah, how is Magic Obelisk? I'm looking to get it, but I might just get Streets of Rage 2 or wait for Cave Story instead if it turns out to be a dud.

Streets of Rage 2 is probably my favorite Genesis game. I don't know what it is about that game, but it oozes awesomeness.

On topic, I recommend that everyone (who likes these types of games) buy Flowerworks and Castlevania Rebirth. Both are 1000 points, but very worth it if you dig puzzle games and / or action / adventure / platforming.

I'd think about Streets of rage if I couldn't get it on compilation. That's a problem with alot of sega games. That or being able to download a version of a game with extras added, like on xbox live.

I personally don't mind having multiple versions of my favorite games.:)

After seeing it was only 500 points & didn't require a CC, I bought SMB3.

If you are interested in puzzle games the Magic Obelisk is actually a fairly good game.
There are 30+ chapters/levels and for the 500 point cost it may be worth a look.
The only issue that I have noticed playing it is that the controls seem clunky for
some of the levels where timing of shadows is more important, which Sean mentioned in
his impressions of the game.

I'm going to get pokemon rumble, but what game should I get along with that? I was thinking SMB3, but is that worth it since I have NSMBW? I also was considering defend your castle.
EDIT: or as another option, should I get another DSipoints card?

I got Pokemon Rumble and SMB3, but I don't own NSMBW. Having played NSMBW, though, I don't think It's worth getting SMB3 because of its simularities.

Not that I have played it, but Tomena Sanner also looks fun.

I heard that Eduardo wasn't as good as it looked, and ONM only gave Little Tournament Over Yonder a score of 63%, saying is was a very basic strategy game.

Going on that, I - personally - would get Lostwinds 2 and The Magic Obelisk.

Definitely. I feel SMB3 is way harder than NSMB Wii, though. (I've 100%'d NSMB Wii, star coins, world 9 and all, and can do a speed-run in an hour and a half. I've only gotten to world 3 in SMB3.)
There's nothing on DSiWare you need to run out and download, though.
