I've seen at least two people on the forum have stated positive things about one or both of these games and I'm keen to get a better sense of it. I already know many people dislike one or both, so I'm hoping to gather only positive comments about these games.
They seem to be the most marmite WiiWare games on the service and before I splash out the big money for Plattchen I'm hoping to see some positive feedback from multiple individuals (no offense to Wiiloveit).

Just curious, is there a definition or slang use of "marmite" that I don't know? Sorry to sidetrack the thread with the first response, but you did ask for positive comments so I have nothing else to add.
Marmite is a yeast spread for toast and what-have-you in the UK (like vegemite in Australia) which is known to be one of those things people either love or hate (and is reflected in their often-amusing TV ads).
It's an expression I've adopted after some years here. Interestingly I neither love nor hate it; I can take it in small doses -- the Walkers crisp flavour was super-awesome though!
Hello, I'm one of those few that liked Plattchen, lets see, the music is definitely the best it has, the gameplay by itself, as you can notice by playing the japanese fantasy, is actually a good one, the puzzles are entertaining; now, many hate the "shooting" and "evasion" elements of the game, I find them challenging, sometimes a bit frustrating, but nothing I can't handle; overall, the bizzillion things you have to do all at once, need a little patience and dedication, but when you get it, is very satisfactory.
I also enjoyed Plattchen. I decided to give it a go after reading through pages and pages of people arguing about it. I had to know the truth! First of all, it is NOT an easy game by any means...it will take some time and patience to figure it out. There are some unnecessary elements to the gameplay...I will admit that. Even the menu and options seem way too unintuitive. However, the core gameplay is truly a challenge, and is very fun! This game has tons and tons of replay value, and has so many unlockable features, you will probably never get through it all. This is anything but shovelware that someone just thew together...you can tell this game was very well thought out. Also, the uniqueness of gameplay is quite a surprise. It has many enjoyable "quirks" that you will end up loving. So I would guess I would recommend it if you are up for a true challenge, and are willing to give it some time. It took me a good week to finally figure out a good strategy.
I enjoyed Plättchen too. It was a bit frustrating at the beginning, but once you've discovered strategies for most of the levels, it becomes easier.
I've collected over 190 Time Diamonds so far (by unlocking and completing the Copycat and Mission levels). Now I'm waiting for a patched version to be released to fix a couple of level glitches so I can complete the game (Copycat 4-14 and Classic 5-03 are glitched).

I should've seen that coming as soon as I saw the thread and thought "should I post there, or will they be getting sick of me?".

Now, some elements of the game may seem complicated, but I thought that the menu was a pretty good design for finding all the levels quickly and easily.

Just so everyone knows, although it sounds really complicated, it's actually fairly easy to get to grips with and understand after a short time with it, and whilst there are several things going on at once, it's not anything that will give you a big headache.
Oh, and Sean: I'd recommend Plattchen over Niki by a mile, and like AENIGMA said: it is frustrating at the beginning, but once you get the hang of the game, you'll really get into the game.
I think the biggest obstacle for me is 1500 points; I just cannot justify 1500 points for a puzzle game. If it was Mr. Driller, sure, but that's about it. Now why is this game only 1000 in N.A.?
Well, price is speaking to me; for only 500 points I think I can safely take a chance on Niki; the Bplus guys just seem so earnest I feel like I should give one of their existing games a chance rather than waiting for Vektor Tank.
If you find Mario difficult, I can't see you liking Niki, which offers less control of your on-screen avatar than Mario does, while tossing more enemies at you.
Well, having watched several levels in a walkthrough it doesn't look that bad. They seem to be trying to do something like Bubble Bobble, but in place of the interesting bubble mechanic they have...nothing. You just run into the baddies, which I have to say isn't terribly compelling, so I think I'm going to pass on it even at 500 points. Shame really because I like the music, the sound and the visuals. I don't think the character looks too floaty; just that the core game doesn't look that interesting to me.
There was too much negativity when it came to Plattchen on this site so I just kept my mouth shut(Sorry Wiiloveit). I thought it looked cool so I finally gave in and downloaded it. I was expecting to hate the game like everyone else but I really enjoyed it. I really liked the music and visuals. I decided to get Niki as well but I haven't gotten around to playing it yet. I have a feeling I won't enjoy it as much as Plattchen. Sorry that you have to pay more than I did in N.A. but if it looks like something you might be interested in, I would give it a go.
