Topic: what wiiware game would you like

Personally I would like a fantastic mini-golf game. I picture it being on the level of the golf on wii sports resort, being motion plus compatible, maybe 72 holes, challenging is the most important, the dinosaurs and windmills aren't as important if they don't actually add to the game, online competition and leader boards, different weather conditions, use your own mii, and local competition up to 4 players and people can share remotes if you don't own 4. I possible the ablility to design and submit online new holes would be cool as well.
So how about all of you, any ideas for a wii ware game that you would like to see?

Darn you Nintendo, my backlog is already out of control and you are just making it worse with these new game announcements!!!!

I agree with you - I'd like a fantastic Mini golf game with WM+... if it's Nintendo better.. I want wacky tracks with funny and interactive things to do like in real life. Frankly, if Nintendo makes it a ala a Mario game I'll buy it for full retail.

I'd like a nice Scrabble for Wii, Risk, Clue, Monopoly, those kind of board games... preferably with Nintendo characters (except Risk) with multiplayer and online multiplayer. Obviously Chess too but a nice one.

More FPS... Wolfenstein 3D for Wiiware. Doom.

A remake of Commander Keen. And a Duke Nukem game. New Archon Ultra game. Digger like the PS3 had.

More games like NyxQuest. More Prince of Persia.

So ends a saga older than time itself.

very true, i would like some good turn-based strategy games like not only chess but maybe hardcore board games like railroad tycoon and puerto rico.

oh and absolutely they could enhance the mini-golf to the point where it has to be on a disk and sell at full retail and that would work for me as well.

Agreed on Golf too, more WM+ titles ONLY like Table tennis and tennis.

I would also like to see a wrestling game similar to N64 Wrestmania/No Mercy franchise.

Hmm what else, oh and I decent cars and guns game I really like Vigilante 8 on N64.
I think this type of game still exists on ps3/xbox 360 but haven't seen anything for Nintendo machines recently.

Oh wait, RoadkIll (I think) on gamecube but that didn't really grab me.

Arcade balance board games involving ski'ng and skating but not freestyle tricks based.

I would like to see a game like Fat Princess on wii ware. I just got the psp version and it is so much fun. The multiplayer is a little bit lacking on the psp tho. So a game like that would be awesome. But i gues that would not fit onto wii ware.

Ah, a fellow strategic board game and DOS game fan. I agree with most of those, except Doom and Duke Nukem are a little too violent for my tastes, and Wolf 3D needs a huge update to match up with modern FPSes (even on WiiWare) and not just in graphics and sound. Commander Keen especially sounds like a good idea, although very unlikely. Anyone know if the GBC CK game is any good?

Oh, and as long as we're talking about DOS shooters, how about a Descent game including local and online multiplayer? I'd prefer a remake of the first one (episodic and/or DLC, of course, as there's no way to fit 27 levels (with true 3D room progression, no less) with modern graphics and online multiplayer into 40MB).

So far the 9-ball on Wii Play is still the best implementation I've tried on the console, despite being a nearly perfect application for the Wii remote in my opinion. I'd love to see a WiiWare version of the game that used Motion Plus and really fine-tuned the motion controls. Once that is ready, then they can start to add in different options (snooker, 8-ball, 9-ball, trick shots, online play, etc)... but getting the controls down MUST be the main focus. I know there are some billiards games already available... but none that quite scratch the itch I'm looking for. Cue Sports has controls that aren't quite up to the task, although the options are top notch. Midnight Pool got a better review here, but the options are lacking and the presentation definitely isn't what I'm looking for.

Beyond that, some good designer board/card game implementations - something along the lines of Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, or Carcassonne on XBLA. But online play and voice chat are both musts in this case. Some games that i'd like to see online versions of (although I doubt any will arrive) include:

Acquire
Blokus
Chess (but needs to be more fully featured than the budget Silver Star version; bonus points for including Xiang Qi and/or Shogi)
Go
Incan Gold
Mahjong (the real game, not the terrible matching solitaire version that most North Americans know by this name; needs at least a couple versions of rules included... I prefer official Chinese rules personally, and don't care for American rules)
Pandemic
Power Grid
RoboRally
Roll Through the Ages
San Juan (or Puerto Rico)
Stone Age
Tigris & Euphrates (preferably with the new board variants and optional rules)
Tikal
Wits & Wagers

A bunch of those might sound unusual to people who have only played "classic" board games, but they are all very successful and popular strategy games -- some quick and light, others long and brain-burning. There was supposed to be a great board game named Zooloretto published on Wii, but I haven't heard anything about that for a long time.

ejamer, a boardgamer after my own heart, a cooperative board game like Pandemic or Shadows Over Camelot, would be awesome, but probably hard to be able to always find the 4-5 players needed to be good, Puerto Rico, Age of Steam, Railroad Tycoon, Powergrid are all great games, actually I wasn't a big fan of Tigris and Euphrates. Go and Chess are classics, haven't tried Incan Gold yet and the others I don't know.

Good idea! I want a mii mini golf game and that's sounds like one i'd like.

Other than that, I'd like ware games, that use the wiimotionplus (like mini golf) and balance board peripherals decently please.

Some very good suggestions above.

I'd like to echo: scrabble and chess (with on-line), some decent FPSs, badminton, volleyball and squash with wiimotionplus, flight sims with wiimotionplus, physics based games with wiimotionplus(eg. ball rollers!), more point and click adventures and puzzlers...

Thanks, glad everyone seems to think my idea for a mini-golf game is a good one, you all had good ideas too, i wonder who would be a good company to pitch it too, thinking 2dboy myself, they seem like zany guys who can get into designing a mini-gold course or 4.

I'd like to see another Wiiware game along the lines of Onslaught. That is, a co-op fps. All it needs is a splitscreen mode for up to four players and a cooperative game-mode of some kind. No need for fancy graphics or online play; I just want to blast stuff together with a few friends. Preferably in some kind of sci-fi setting. Since Onslaught is already out there it can be done, and if a skilled developer is set on it I'm sure it could look really nice as well. (Shin'en, you listening? )

Also, speaking about board games: A digital version of Talisman would be nice. I know one was in development, but it was cancelled for some reason.
Oh, and another vote for RoboRally!
