Topic: Ultra Hand! impressions

Well, i just got the game from my Nintendo Club account. It seems really cute, and quirky. The music is really fun and the graphics are nicely done for how small the game is.

I'm a little surprised at how responsive the controls are once you get used to the set-up. Using the nunchuk and wii remote together to sort of make a pumping motion, kind of like those old air blowers for fireplaces, or like the actual Ultra Hand toy and all its many knock-offs. I did notice my wrists cramping up a little after a few minutes of play, but that could just be bad posture or playing technique.

The presentation is nice. I especially liked the many sounds that came from the wii remote itself when getting combos. I would give it a 7.5/10. Its great for its price. I don't see myself playing it so much, but its a fun little distraction to pull out when with friends. I hope the Nintendo Club gets more or these bonus Wiiware games.

EDIT!!!: BTW the game is 128 blocks, so its no Art Style size game. So if you need to configure space beforehand, i would recommend it.

The smallest game I have seen with a lot of content is Neves Plus.

I do however agree that this game is good for 80 coins or practically FREE.
As people get 30 Coins for joining NOA and taking a survey
Then they get 50 Coins for registering one Nintendo Branded game and taking a survey.

I remember Art Style: Cubello being 47 blocks. Thats why i made that reference. Its the smallest Wiiware game i know of.

@Malouff I think this is good for being basically free. I had never registered games before, and so i finally pulled out the PIN number in my Brawl case and registered that. 80 points right there with the introductary survey. Then the 50 point survery, all together about 5 minutes of effort. Basically what i'm saying is, its a FREE game, and its actually kinda cute. Much easier to obtain than other "exclusive" Nintendo Club content. So everyone should go for it if they like free stuff

BTW, is there any way to get that Punch-Out Wiiware game? I know that was a while back, but i don't know anything about elite status rules. Since that was a promotion from like, last year, is that gone now i've i go for elite status this year?

@Tsuchinoko: In regards to Doc Louis's Punch Out, you had to be at Platinum status by end of June last year, so in short, I'd say only if they decide to give the option of getting the same reward this year maybe? I did notice on eBay, some people were selling codes, but when I went to see my e-mail, I must've deleted it once I redeemed it, I was sure there was an expiration on when it needed to be redeemed by. Its not worth paying what they're asking regardless though.

I think this game will take time to get used to. I think it works better without the Wii remote sensor on the bottom, but practice makes perfect in order to go up against friends in a head to head battle.

I picked it up because, hey why not? It sucks though because I just downloaded it and have to loeave in 10 minutes for a doctors appointment and if I started playing I know I'd lose track of time and be late. But yeah, it's pretty much free so it should be a no brainer, you get 60 coins for a Wii game (50 for registering it and 10 a week later if you take the post play survey).
Now I just wish we could order posters individually instead of all three, I just want the Mario timeline one (unlike the Zeloda ones where I wanted 2 out of the 3) anyone want to make a trade for the other two and the toon Link poster if I order them?

I just saw the video on Nintendo.com... and now I won't be getting it. Watch, and you'll know why.

I got it, and it's a fun little game. Simple enough, but rather addicting.

@Radixxs is it because the T-Rex is NOT included? Yeah, that disappoints me as much as the time LJN said "Haku does not come with crown as shown".

@ Radixxs i love that commercial its so cheesy and shows the joys of the chicken dance but at least nintendo is putting a lot of effort for a cheap download title.

It's a good little game, though the controls and rules can be a tad confusing at first. You quickly get over it though.

@Radixxs No idea. Although I didn't watch the video they had on that site. I watched a Japanese one on youtube. Not sure if it was a different one. I felt like i knew what i was getting. Personally i liked my decision to get it. I DO kinda with there were online leader boards, but oh well. You get what you pay for, which in this instance is NOTHING!

I am thinking...I got that game for free with purchase of SS Brawl, and about 5 minutes of surverys. That makes me feel good.

30 coins for a DS game and 50 coins for a Wii game. I just hope people aren't out there buying games they don't want for these coins.

Hmmm, i don't see that happening...I mean, i would hope not.

Does anyone know if i can register Japanese games? I have like, half a dozen DS games i got here that i didn't try registering yet.

I need to get on my computer (browsing using Internet Channel right now) and fill out more surveys. I have 10 coins right now and am about 90 coins away from Gold Status. I'll probably pick this up once i've hit Gold...
