That game was so much fun. I have been waiting for the VC release, but would much prefer an upgraded WiiWare version!

I'd love for this to be real, but I'm still skeptical -- I can't find any information about it other than those two pictures. I'd be grateful if anyone else has information as to the truth or falsity of this claim.

Also, I'm on the fence as to whether a VC release or remake would be preferable; a remake with the full classic mode included would be perfect, I suppose. 2.5D usually fails to capture the appeal of a classic, well-drawn 2D game like this one.

Apparently its only XBLA for now with a WiiWare version in the works but no PSN version has been announced. And the pics were taken at the Turtles 25th Anniversary Tour.

my little brother and i played the hell out of this game when we were younger... been waiting on a VC release, and if this eventually comes to Wiiware that will be so awesome. :3

I agree with CowLaunch. And Bass, though I've seen you around here long enough to know you aren't making this up, it still would be nice to have a link to where you're getting this information about, if you wouldn't mind, just so I know where to look for future information, etc.

I couldn't be more pumped about this though. I hope they have the original as an unlockable, but if not, the graphics look decent enough. The only beat-em-up that might be better than this would be The Simpsons, and even that I'm not sure about, so this is most excellent news.

According to that link blackdragon posted, it's only officially being done for XBLA and a Wii version is only under consideration. My personal hope is that they just decide it would be best to put the SNES version on VC, as what I've seen of the remake so far looks pretty bad.

Actually, Rapadash, it says they are "working on" it, not that they are "considering" it. Quite different, though I could see how you were confused. Also, we only have one screenshot of the game (excluding the menu), and it's from an offscreen camera, so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that direct screenshots will look better.

Also when in GODS NAME will Konami/Ubisoft get a hold of the TMNT license & just FREAKING GIVE US the other NES TMNT games on the VC... before going straight to TMNT 4 Turtles in Time anyway?!!!! To me that's another BIG OMG HUGE INSULT to the FANBASE of every TMNT FANBOY!!!

I want the original version (if it is included then cool, but the TMNT arcade port in Battle Nexus on GCN had many flaws)

Also I WANT ALL 4 RED-MASKED turtles!!!! The different colors suck

I dont know, I kinda like the different colored turtles. But I agree, the comics were much better when they all had red masks.
