Topic: Sonic 4 - Ep. 1 First Stage In It's Entirety!

Looking good.

Looks intersting but the whole lock-on aiming is a let down, IMO they had the gameplay spot on in S&K3.

Two questions...

a) Am I the only one who thinks the physics look off?
b) How many stages per episode? Do we know yet?

A. I dunno. I think they look okay. There may be some actions that the player in the vid didn't use at the appropriate time.

B.I believe this game has four zones with 2 or 3 stages each (not entirely sure about that...).

Yeah, the physics looks a bit "off" to me too... I don't know, i guess I would describe them as "floaty". Momentum seems a bit off too, and this game has the look and "feel" of Sonic 1 more than the sequels.

But nothing to turn me off on it. Specially considering it's still in development.

Anyway...It looks good but,
1)Everything looks too big on-screen...and not enough distance to see obstacles or enemies in your path.
2)This is Sonic. Not Mario. Too much platforming and not much running fast.

Looks good and I am a tad bit dissapointed at the moment.
Atleast we're not getting another Sonic Unleashed. lol

It's looking good but the mine cart level looked hideous. I didn't mind the concept but when I saw it, it looked terrible, maybe it's because of the confusing way that it tilts the stage. I also didn't think the boss battle looked that good. Am I the only one who likes the idea of the homing attack?

I want this game!

Sonic is too far to the right of the screen. You can't see very far ahead. When he falls you can't see what's below him either. I dunno...
edit: Yikes, that mine cart stage looks awful!

Does anyone know how many Wii Points the Episodes are going to cost?

@Sean007s: You're kidding right? In all four of the Genesis games, Sonic wasn't based entirely on speed (save for when he went Super or Hyper). If you went too fast, chances are you'd run into an enemy...

@mariofanatic128: I like the homing attack too. :3

Also, the X-Box Live achievements confirm Super Sonic's return (to being playable in all stages), and that the final area is called the E.G.G. Station Zone.

DAMMIT! Video removed! Every time there's footage of this game it gets removed before I get to see it.

How many leaks can one game have? This is just ridiculous. Looks cool either way.
