As I wrote the original review for Orbient, I feel like I have to say something about it now that I've completed the game in full (Yes, I collected all the moons). Originally, when I did my review I gave the game a 9 out of 10 (the editors changed it to an 8), but after completing the game, even though you could nitpick about a couple things, games don't come out very often that are so well realized and can be so highly appreciated based on their gameplay concepts alone. Orbient's a classic, and a supberb experience that's expertly designed.

One of the best WiiWare games (probably second or third best) and, honestly, one of the most beautiful and unique gaming experiences I've ever had. It made me fall in love with Art Style.

Indeed, playing in a quiet, dark room is quite a nice experience, very chilled.

I, too, love this game and have gotten all of the moons. Some of them were really challenging. This game really is a gem.

EDIT: I think this is the 2nd best WiiWare game overall. After World of Goo.

I'm still in the 4th galaxy, as I haven't had much time. It is still fun, if incredibly frustrating

I'd rank Orbient as the best Nintendo published WiiWare title. It's just so good. It's action and puzzle based, which suits me fine.

Overall, in my list of games I own for WiiWare, I'd put it probably to the second highest spot, below Mega Man 9.

It's a good game..but it's VERY hard! But after beating Mega Man,I'm begining to like hard games.

This game is AMAZING in ithe fact that it is such a simple design, but so difficult to play! This game almost made want to drive to NOA to pee on their campus doorstep at 2am (and I live 10 min from Redmond, WA so that's entirely do-able).

Thanks to this thread I bought Orbient yesterday and I don't have any regrets so far.
I had time to play only few rounds but it seems to be a good game, maybe it becomes amazing (or frustrating) after a while .

What! Why?

This game is sounding better and better. I've been interested in it for a while. I'm just not sure what I'd spend the rest of my 1000 points on.

Although I wouldn't mind talking about it, I don't think this site is the right place for it. I do wish I was still writing reviews for the site though. The editors and I didn't see eye to eye on some things, but I expressed many times that I enjoyed the work I was doing. Differences don't have to stop people from working together and making compromises.

I'm glad you picked up the game. There is a gradual difficulty curve, so it'll take a little time for you to get to the crazy mind-blowing stuff. Have fun man!

If you should it to a friend though, it would bore them, has to be played alone....Also I love the music, how it builds when you get satelites.....the best art style game, for sure, but Cubello is better for pick up and play.

I just got Orbient and Rotohex, but I've only played them a bit. So far so good. Cubello just looks weird. And that tutorial is a bit confusing.

I hate this game

I don't hate it, but it seems overrated. It's a nice little diversion, but there's little depth to it. I ran through the first half of the game very quickly and got almost all the crescent moons with little extra difficulty. It is starting to get frustrating though as the gravity is sometimes nearly incomprehensible. I understand it probably makes perfect sense to a physicist, but as I'm looking at these interweaving paths of fast moving projectile planets, it just doesn't compute for me. As they say: Oh well.

Try getting all 50 moons before saying there's little depth to it.

Anything special about the moons? I've gotten very few of them actually...oh and Ski, I hear you on the reviews.

I really really don't like scoring, though I have to say that the scoring policy here seems better than most sites I've read (especially with the decimal nonsense). I guess if you want your site to be "influential" in the eyes of the big boys you have to get on Metacritic though, and you cannot do that without a numeric score!

I believe you get a secret galaxy if you get all the moons, though I still need three more I'll hopefully get later today. Haven't played the game in quite awhile.
