I was going to link to this the other day but I forgot. The trailer is pretty interesting in that the levels look a lot bigger than the original game's. The original could get away with being super hard because the levels were so short that you'd eventually get it right. I wonder how this'll affect the game.
Also of interest, they've posted two really neat articles on their site, sort of like Iwata Asks but without Iwata. They talk about game design in general, and then how it applies to Super Meat Boy. Even if you aren't interested in this sort of thing, each link includes funny pictures of famous video game characters.
Why am I so... hard? is about difficulty versus frustration. Extra Credit is about risk and reward. And there seem to be more to come.
holy crap, that looks awesome. i never really bothered paying attention to SMB before because i didn't quite understand what all the hype was about, but that trailer makes me want the hell out of this game now D:
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3
[16:43] James: I should learn these site rules more clearly
[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!
These folks lost me when they put out a "joke" app on the iPhone, which is fine, except that they chose to charge money for this "joke" app. It's basically like a game and watch game, but an extremely terrible one that isn't fun at all. Ok, we get the joke. Now give the money back.
