do the new demos load the respective Shop page after completion, like the ones last year did?
Three of them have menu options that lead to their WiiShop pages, while another has you press the (1) button to navigate away from the game. Refreshingly, none of them send you away from the game on completion, and you are free to try again.
Nintendo must have had a hand in this.
o I liked ThruSpace's presentation, and the sounds and music were quite nice, but I couldn't see myself purchasing the game on that alone. Plenty of scope for replay though.
o Furry Legends was O.K, but I don't really go for sidescrollers, so I won't be buying that one either.
o Jett Rocket looked interesting, and the promise of boss battle intrigues me, but I don't feel especially compelled to buy it.
o And Zombie Panic in Wonderland was pretty much "spray the screen with bullets". I would have liked to be able to travel through a level, but it's only a WiiWare game. The destructable scenery was a nice touch.

Awesome, after Chrono Twins DX last week (which I already had) we get a Bit Trip Fate demo as well. I'm downloading it as we speak since Runner disappointed me. Hope this one will be better. I let you know after I finished the demo.

I think the length of the Bit.Trip Fate demo is too long. I mean, the demo has 2 full levels (with the exception of the boss in level 2, but that is neglectable). The whole game has 6 levels, so we're getting 1/3 of the whole game. Yes maybe I'm a bit too focused on numbers, but 1 level as a demo could have been enough, alright? I mean, I can't see why the addition of the second level in the demo would be so important to decide if I should buy the game.

Well I'm glad that we got a Fate demo, because I know enough not to buy it. I love my Zapper, and I love shooters so I bought a points card not knowing we get a demo. But since we got it, I can honestly say that I don't like this game and the demo saved me points again.
I was disappointed in Runner (overrated with the 10/10 demo), but that game was still awesome. Especially the music and the way it was used. But that awesome feeling is gone in Fate. Furthermore the character is way to big (still stayed Giga without much problem though) and the weapon updates are terrible. The only one I liked was the purple lady.

Bit.Trip FATE has more content in unlockable characters and such that you don't get in the demo. I liked the demo, but I only finished Bit.Trip BEAT because my nephew was visiting and enjoyed the challenge.
I do wonder what Nintendo considers a "limited time", however.

4 weeks for each batch of demos according to Gaijin Games, developers of the BIT.TRIP series. However, if an individual demo is rated over a Bronze, it will stay longer. I left the FATE demo on for 20 min. after beating it (you need to play a game for over an hour to rate it on the Nintendo Channel), but for some reason it didn't work. Oh well.

I've actually played all of the initial demos and enjoyed them well enough, but I wasn't convinced to go out and buy the full versions. I just got AYIM free for PC though!

The Jett Rocket demo has convinced me to eventually get the full version. I still need to try the Bit.Trip Fate demo I downloaded.

I tried the FATE and AYIM demos and I think I'll purchase them whenever I have the money/time.
But does anyone know if NA will get more demos (like for Dive The Medes Islands or RUNNER)?

glad we got those demos -- AYIM was an interesting concept, but it irritated the heck outta me. not interested. ThruSpace reminded me of Human Tetris, lol; i liked that a lot better. might pick it up later.

Well the Robox demo saved me money. Hate is a strong word but I really really really don't like it. It get's pretty boring, pretty quick, the character is slow, the controls are bad, so basically the only thing I liked are the graphics and the music. But I couldn't even bother finishing the demo. A first for me for a WiiWare demo. I don't like it at all.

I'm glad I tried the FATE demo before I bought the whole thinng, cuz I didn't really like it at all. I'll try it again to be sure, but as of now, I'm buying RUNNER instead, which I know is awesome.

Me neither I'm sure it could have been a fairly decent game, but it seems like the developers deliberately made it unfun.It's so slow, the spikes don't stand out from the background, the inside-the-robot controls feel weird, some of the hitboxes seem too unforgiving and it feels like there should be a way to jump less high, but there isn't.

I finished the Robox Demo... took me 1 hour and 20 minutes which makes it the longest demo so far. It's a pretty challenging game but I thought the checkpoint placement was pretty balanced. A map would've been helpful, but it doesn't seem to bee too difficult to find the right way. Backtracking later won't be bad either as there are teleporters spread around (not usable in the demo). I thought the inside-robot-part was cool. Unfortunately there wasn't much shown in the demo. There are some parts early in the game that are pretty difficult: the growing-mushroom-part with the falling enemies, and the giant-caterpillar-climb with the lightgun-part) but it is a nice variation from the platforming main game. I think the robot gets new skills, Metroid-like, and his controls get better as you progress. The slowpaced gameplay is not exactly a flaw, as there are many enemies and traps that you would run into if you were faster. On the opposite in some situations you just wish the trashbin would walk faster to not get hit by traps or enemies. I hope you get an item to walk faster later in the game. It's like Metroid, Zelda, Kid Icarus: In the beginning you lack in health and special skills, but later you turn into killer. I hope Robox is the same.
Robox' world is nice enough, Robox' challenge is high enough, and Robox' gameplay is varied enough to put it on my list for later.
