Anyone plop down the full 15 dollars for this game? Let's hear some impressions.

So length wise how long does it take to fully complete it? What's the music like? Is there alot of variety in the different tunes and stages?

Sounds like a buy! Bout time Wiiware got something worthwhile. I was starting to think the service had died.

I have to get some Nintendo points now, i saw on Wii shop channel that the game already offers a Party Pack DLC im uncertain if it is available for download, but it included new power ups, tracks and vehicles.
Should the DLC also be brought? or is it wasted money.
I'm still a little confused as to what type of game this is. On the surface it just looks like a sidescrolling racing game. Is it sort of a combination of racing and exploration ala Metroid? Do you find upgrades for your vehicles and such?

It's not strictly a racing type of game. It's a hybrid between racing and platforming. Watch these videos of similar games (one of which, Trials HD, is from RedLynx, which made this game) to get an idea:
I think the best way to describe this game is "obstacle course." It's not like a standard racing game where you are guaranteed to eventually reach the finish line. You need a ton of skill to actually make it to the finish line here. For instance, you can fail to build up enough momentum as you're launching off a ramp and then fall off the course (because you didn't make it to the other side), dying. You'll then have to restart the course.
You can purchase better vehicles with coins you collect. There are hidden items to collect as well. They're placed in hard-to-reach portions of the tracks and require you to think creatively about how to get to them.
I downloaded this and it's definately one of those "one more time" games. It's a platformer with cars You have a certain amount of ancester(spirits?) and coins to find on each "track" in the story mode. You can look up things about each ancester and use coins to buy new vehicles. Thrre are also several powerups (I've used the rocket and spring). You can go back on any level to get a faster speed or to collect things that you missed (You get different medals for how fast you do the level. There is online already and you can compare with others (there's a "buddy mode" to be able to see how well your friends are doing. You have placings as well as points to compare with others too. I played some of these and decided to buy a new car, but I wasn't able to use it yet (Not sure why.) There are online trials that you can do over and over again, to better your score each time and ones that you only get "one" shot at to put down a score, (It looks like you do get to practice till you think you're ready on the "one shot" mode. Also there is a local multiplayer mode too and it seems to have more than enough game save files for others to play too.
By the way...I believe our own KnucklesSonic8 has already downloaded this (unless there's ANOTHER KnucklesSonic8 )
edit:@Oddy@Adam: I was going to get runner soon. I'm not sure when now.
@Adam I would agree except FLUX is part of my favorite series, Portal 2 is part of my second-favorite series (download the first one for free now BTW; it's even better), and Puzzle Agent 2 is part of my fifth-favorite series. Plus Star Fox is really awesome. But other than that, yeah, nothing.
@longtimegamer I'm afraid I don't understand. But I would totally recommend it as one of my favorite games ever if that helps (pretty sure @Adam would too).
I meant WiiWare, re: Corbie's comment that MotoHeroz is the best of 2011 — I can't think of anything else that would give serious competition. FAST and Flux were all right but nothing for me to write home about. But while we're on the subject, without giving it much thought, I think Mortal Kombat was my only new game this year that I particularly cared about other than a very brief affair with FAST Racing (please don't tell Captain Falcon).
Anyway, I hope the review for this is up soon. First game in awhile for WiiWare that I've been interested in reading reviews for.
@Corbs: Do you have any details on the DLC pack for this game? I'm pretty sure that I will be picking this game up, I just want to be sure that I have enough points saved for the DLC.
@Corbs: Yeah, I looked in the Wii Shop Channel and I just saw that it mentions the DLC but I guess it isn't available yet. I've heard nothing but great things about this game so I think that I will end up getting it. I'm going to wait for your review though just to be sure.
