Topic: Max and the magic marker

Finished it yesterday. I wonder why that game is so underrated. Very funny puzzles and good gameplay. Nice graphics and music. Its not very hard to beat the game (took me little less than 10 hours) but i did it at 70%. Complete it 100% is pretty challenging. Anyone else playing it?

No, it's not. But that's fine since there's stuff afterward to do.

It's fun but the gameplay gets a bit stale and tiresome toward the end.
I can only make a ladder so many times.

I'm still waiting on a certain somebody to beat my speedrun in the game's first level...

I agree, seed, I think the game is underrated. I really hope they do a sequel for it.

I loved the game, but I100%ed it in six and a half hours. Have fun getting the rest though.

I don't know why it's overlooked. I actually didn't really hear much of anything about it, but I had some extra Wii points, I saw it, and I thought "this looks like fun, I'll take a chance" and I was pleasantly surprised. It's not great, but it's a lot of fun while it lasts and well worth the price (I don't even remember how much it was, but I remember it was worth it)

Anybody else doing speed runs?

10 hours is actually pretty decent for a 1000 point title. With you only getting 70% looks like there is a fair amount of extra content too. This and nyxquest have been high on my wiiware to get list for a while. Not sure why I haven't gotten them yet though.

Sorry for bumping such an old topic, but does anyone know what time is needed to get a gold on the final level (Run Max!... Run!)? My best time is 2:43, and I don't see it going much lower. 2:40 seems probable, and 2:30-2:35 if I was PERFECT. I've been at this for the past couple hours, and it's all that is holding me back from 100%. =(

Thanks! I've been looking everywhere on youtube, here, gamefaqs, etc. I guess I'll look again though! I actually just finally got my score to 2:39 and still no gold. =( I'm not sure if it's just some glitch, as this game is pretty glitchy at times. >_<

I played the PC version, and thought was a very decent and competent game, but not much more.

I think I found some info at ask.com it looks like it might be 1:28 0_o it could be wrong but I hope this helps

Well I still couldn't find a youtube video speed running that level. Could you send me the link that you got that time from if possible? That time seems impossible. I'll keep doing my tests to see if it is though. I can do all the way to the boss as fast possible, but I may be able to improve some part of my boss strategy. Thanks for helping! =D

Sorry I noticed I made a typo in my post on my latest time. I had actually scored a time of 2:39. I just now got my score down to 2:29. So if you meant to post 2:28, I think it is definitely possible. I've done more tests of individual sections of the level, and believe a time of around 2:20 -2:23 is possible.

yes lol 2:28 but it seems that number might not be right as I've seen some sites saying it's as low as 2:15 so who knows xD
